Bowwe of the 3rd Holyfield Fight vs Vitali of the Lewis fight

A very good 90% but not peak Bowe vs the Vitali who almost beat Lewis

 

Would be a brutal fight. Both men having solid chins. Both tough and all in for a long night.

I think if Vitali can´t stop Bowe late, he loses a UD. But this is for the best Bowe. At the end of his career, beeing lazy, he might get stopped.

 

I'd take Vitali over Bowe all day long.

Vits dominated his opposition in general, and even the 2 fights he lost, he was ahead on the cards.

Bowe went life and death with Holy and basically won due to his size. He got the snot beaten from him by Golota. He needed to low blow some guys to win, like Coetzer. Yeah, he was big and strong. He had some skills. He was also not dedicated enough and easy to hit.

 

Vitali - All Day!

Vitali almost never lost a round in his prime. Never stopped unless by injury. He had more stamina and would outwork Bowe every round.

Bowe would be a punching bag by the end of the fight.

Lewis had succes with his overhand right and his uppercut. Bad news for Vitali - those are Bowe's best punches.

Bowe clocks him with the jab and destroys him on the inside.

 

You and Dino are the only guys that think Bowe "destroys" Vitali. But, I have to tip my hat to you for standing by your fighter

 

All you need to do is look at the Gonzalez fight to see how this would turn out.

Vitali was an exact replica of Gonzalez who was absolutely battered by Riddick Bowe.

Prime Bowe was also a lot better than an old , lethargic , under prepared and over weight Lennox Lewis who Vitali lost against.

Fighters even remotely close to Bowe that Vitali beat- zero. He only has a record of losing to guys that are similar to Bowe

 

I'd favor Bowe i think. It would be a good tough fight.

 

Oh come on. Im not a K bros fan but no way would Gonzalez have had vitalis career if he was 10 years younger. He just wasnt that good of a pro

Jab and a right cross, no punch variety, no combos, no inside game, bad defense - low hands and leaning back...

 

Vitali was better in almost every way,. Therefore you can't call him a replica and say Bowe smashes him just like you can't say Tyson smashes Ali because he destroyed biggs

 

You guys are taking some crap that it hurts. Gonzales on the level of Vitali? I guess Gonzales went 42-2, never dropped as well in his "career"

When I first read this topic I thought about Bowes performance against Gonzales as well. With the exeption that I think that would be the exactly wrong way to fight the iron chinned tough Ukranian. I think Bowe should box him, because I see him having superior abilities in a chess game.

 

The best vitali would beat the best bowe

 

As I said they were very similiar style wise.
Only guy similiar to Bowe that Vitali fought was past prime Lewis, and we all know how that ended - TKO6.
