No boxer shorter than 6 foot 4 inches would be favorite to beat modern super heavyweights

    Ali was 6'2". Usyk's 6'3"

Ali weighed 201 pounds 1966 (prime) (on same day weigh in) imagen how low he could have gone with lower bf% and rehydration...

Usyk weighs 220+ between fights. It's not even up for debate. Once he starts at hw he will be 230+ mark my words...

You are the troll or brainwashed by deluded oldtimers...

I prefer to call them super heavyweights with skills. 6'3" 77+ reach, 225 pounds or more.

And to shut smaller guys out they need a world class jab, good footwork, and power. The smaller shorter man still can win, but he's going to need the following.

1 ) A lot of power. That 10-20% punchers chance.
2 ) The heart and will to risk getting hit to get into range
    3 ) A pretty good chin.
4 ) An equal amount of skills.

A tall order, so to speak.

Wilder I think will lose as soon as he faced a top 5 opponent who's not 38 years of age or older.

He weighs 220lb between fights because he's blowing up between fights. And you think he's gonna come in at 230+ over 30lbs north of his current fighting weight?

He's not draining himself to make CW, hes coming into the scales a bit dry but that's all.

I myself am 6'3" and I'd be pretty sure im bigger build than usyk as my dad is a big fat **** and if i stop training i blow up too. The highest ive ever been lean is 100kg, ive been above that but i was bulking and was MASSIVE and fat.

Usyk could eat like a king and as long as he's training well he will top out no higher than 220 unless he's going out of his way to bulk.

What could be worse than another weight class, with another 6/7 belts to fight for?

Also, how many fighters would be included in the division?

Times change, people evolve and get bigger. A 215 lb chiseled fighter fighting a 250 lb chiseled fighter doesn't seem very fair.

The last thing boxing needs is another weight class.

Again, how many fighters would there be?

There's not enough SHW's to warrant a new division.

That's a myth. People did not get bigger.

If there ever was a reason to make another division this is it right here.

Im sure there would be enough 250+HWs, most wouldnbe crap, but that's just what it is. If a HW champion or top contender decided to try his luck by moving up he could just like in the other divisions, but again 210 lb fighter vs a 245 lb fighter doesn't seem fair.

How much bigger are HWs today than HWs in the 90s?

This. Where would the cut off be? 230ish? That's about average nowadays.

The 240-250 guys would boil the weight off and carry on as usual.

Meanwhile above 250, we have Tyson Fury v Miller v Dustin Nichols for the SHW championship of the world! Their epic three way battle will go down in history!

I looked that up some time ago. Did a top 10 average weight from the ring magazine per every 5 years. Think it was 225 pounds or domething like that
