Myung Woo Yuh. Wasn’t the fastest fighter or had power but he was a damn hard working fighter who was also skilled technically.

Never mind. I might be thinking of a conversation I had with someone else. You changed your avatar, and that threw me off.

    That's a real thing.

Of course, having an avatar of Hagler wearing a cravat provides for me the ultimate moral authority.

"Every fighter that is world class is either very fast or has a good jaw. Can anyone disprove that?"

That's actually quite an intruiging categorical claim. I'm going to have to think on that see if I can come up with exceptions. (Nobody springs to mind off the cuff...)

Purely on technical skill is hard to do. For instance a lot of boxers have very good technical skill so if they have a physical advantage, reflex, endurance, chin, speed, power or something else on a boxer who has only great technical skill and nothing else he is in for a tough fight.

But I would say Monzon and Hopkins achieved a lot and were not that fast or powerful.

Slapsie Maxie might have been considered for an "Oscar", based on all those "B" movies he appeared in.

    Many movie titles here:

Ward's inside game was leagues better than anybody he fought. Above average chin too. Many would have gone out to that Kovalev straight right.
