I'm honestly not sure what Iole and some of these people are seeing, Shields won her share of rounds but she was edged in some as well. You can't just score for the name fighter even in rounds her opponent did better cleaner work. Shields is a mess, and can't punch a lick I can't believe there are those who think he's not only good, but the best lol.

 

Most entertaining womans fight i have ever seen, one of the most entertaining fights i have seen this year period, Dam why can't people just enjoy a good fight this was pure action all the way super entertaining, sure neither are the best pure boxers but who cares seeing two people leave it all in the ring like they both did deserves huge respect. KT taylor is by far more technical than either of them but she is boring as hell, i normaly can't stand watching womens boxing but this fight was ****ing amazing and got me feeling like i can't wait to see shields vs hammer.

 

So basically you didn't even bother to watch the fight, but automatically scored it wide for Shields simply because of her complexion. But if Shields was European you would call her a hypejob like Ronda Rousey. You made a fool out of yourself once again, congratulations you muppet lol.

97-93 Claressa Shields

 

I thought Shields landed the better shots after the first round. She was throwing a lot. Yes, a lot missed, but a lot of flush shots also landed that Gabriels couldn’t evade. I was cheering for Gabriels to win but I just couldn’t edge her those rounds where she landed cleanly but was considerably outlanded by the bigger puncher. I don’t think 97-92 for Shields is a bad score. I’d say the closest I could see it is 95-94 for Shields if you wanted to give Gabriels rounds.

 

Apparently was on the outs with Rex for the last few years as well. Obviously there was no hope of him ever reconciling with Phil before either of them died, but that much kinda sucks.

 

Your read of the fight is correct, but we differ on how much of a gap there was in connects. Gabriel was pretty active herself, albeit in more controlled bursts whereas Shields was just wailing away creating the impression of doing more clean work (especially when her natural edge in brawn caused her partially blocked shots to sometimes get a take-notice reaction from Gabriel)

 

Lol you’re trying to reason with a guy who genuinely thinks Canelo beat Golovkin,like most of the Canelo crew he was one who was very quiet at the time and thinks over time we’ll all forget what happened.

Talks of professionalism and at the same time will happily go along with Canelos corrupt scorecards,no matter how inept or corrupt.

 

Can't disagree that Gabriels was the cleaner of the two but you're right, we definitely do differ on our impression of the connects by each fighter. Gabriels definitely landed her fair share of punches, some very nice ones during exchanges and as Shields came in, but Shields threw way more, missed way more, and landed way more IMO. Gabriels trying to evade Shields' punches ala Naseem didn't do her any favors on my card as well, as that seemed very ineffective from my point of view and only allowed Shields to tag her flush as she's going straight back with her hands down. Great fight.

 

Another decent scorer. You and Pinoy are the only guys I’ve notice who score accurately consistently.

 

96-93 Shields was my score, for the little that it's worth.

Gave Gabriels the 1st, the 8th and 10th. There were a number of close rounds, but the eye-catching shots from Gabriels weren't enough to tip the balance against CS's more consistent, if less aesthetically pleasing work.

 

I didn't watch the fight because I was out getting some cat, but from.the highlights I've seen it looked.like a he'll of a fight. Hanna is very good and and showed heart and skill in what looked to be a competitive fight. I'll watch it later and give my take and score on the bout.
