List examples of boxers who overturned a double digit loosing record to become world champion.

I'll start with Johnny Nelson (not counting WBF) with 12 losses before winning the WBO Cruiserweight and successfully defending it 13 times.

Without checking box rec, didn’t Glen Johnson have double digit losses before beating Jones / Tarver? I think he already may have possessed a belt but after Tarver he unified, I believe.

    "Siri" Vasyl Lomachenko Sr.
Had 10 loses before beating Cristobal Cruz. Salido won a World title with nine loses vs Robert Guerrero but tested positive for PEDs

Great shout! I make it 9 losses for Glen before beating Clinton Woods for the IBF. Misses the cut by 1 loss.

    Agree!

Salido makes it with an asterix *

    (9 losses and 1 NC)

Great pick but Weaver just misses out joining Glen Johnson with 9 defeats.

Didn't Emile Griffin have close to double digit loses when he won the Middleweight title.

*edit* Nevermind he only had 7 when he moved up to Middleweight to win the title there.

James Braddock was 49-25-7 when he won the Heavyweight title.

Not sure why Boxrec has the Cinderella Man's record listed incorrectly. He finished his career at 50-26-7 not the 46-24-4 listed on Boxrec.

They wont count non-verified bouts, they did the same thing to Alexis Arguello who retired at 82-8 in 1995 but BoxRec has his record as 77-8 because they said 5 of his wins couldn't be proved that they happened/weren't exhibitions.

Cristobal Cruz lost 11 times before winning his first and only world title, against Salido.

And Cruz Carbajal also lost 11 times before winning his first and only world title, against Mauricio Martinez.
