Ward is the better puncher consistently. I'd give him the edge in power.

But Calzaghe is faster. Sacrificed balance but learned to adapt. I'd have Calzaghe coming of the canvas to edge a close one on workrate.

retired or not, toughfights scarethe shyte out of joe.

Shame really, he was world class and could have took more scalps than just low-world class lacy and injured Kessler.... though fair play to him wanting to keep his zero since it would have involved some losses to, no blueprint.

Greatest ever at 168.....undefeated.....Just a great fighter over all.

He'd of slapped the **** out of Froch and he'd of beaten Ward too.

It's just the way it is.

Neither of those two know how or could accept losing. Ones going out on how shield, but which one?

My pick is Calz because I think he's the toughest out for anyone

I don't know about this anymore.
Kovalev drastically changed how I view him over his last 3,4 fights.

It's possible he just hit the wall and yes deteriorating before our eyes. When the going got tough he looked to be a flight instead of fight guy.

What would happen if him and froch went toe to toe? We know for a fact froch had way more Dog in him and a prime Kessler vs kov I'd pick Kessler.

Not sure if kov had always been a front runner but that's exactly what he's become.

The huge problem for me is I literally put kovalev on the GGG level and had been judging him as such for years and yes crumbled before my eyes. I thought he was a machine like GGG, very very far from it.

    Hindsight also 20/20

What makes this common knowledge for some???? I'd definitely without a second thoseth feel 100% comfortable (as comfy as could be) that calz would best kov ever single time.

Going into kovs last 4 fights he slowly lost those fights with each crack that showed up.

I think ward slightly takes power and zaghe takes speed

Calzaghe did a mayweather move, he didn’t fight dudes at there peak all the time. He also missed some notable fights he should have taken. Two things I do wanna correct you on Ward has a higher boxing IQ, he can adapt and adjust better than Joe in my opinion. Ward can throw more punches but like Floyd he would rather hit you with one well thought out punch so he can conserve energy. Verses a bunch of decent punches that may or may not get to you.

Unlike Andre Ward, Joe Calzaghe always won without needing to resort to dirty, illegal tactics like head butts and low blows.

I think this would be like the Hopkins fight with Calzaghes pace and output being the deciding factors

Once again you make things up, super Joe was never on the verge of being knocked out....the so called tough guy was the one continuously looking for the refs help.

Get a grip you ****ing tit.
