We can talk about who the best fighter ever is based on actual accomplishments, but who would you say is the best fighter ever in terms of natural ability?

    NATURAL ability? Impossible to know.

But of the fighter's who histories we do know, Dimitry Pirog tops my list.
The guy was almost completely self-trained, up until the point he was to fight, and most likely beat, Golovkin.

It's a very hard to say, guy above mentioned Pirog and I fully agree if not for his horrible injury he might have easily been HOF, him vs ggg would have been an amazing matchup, it was so close to being made. It's much easier to point out guys who were physically gifted, people like Wilder and RJJ, Wilder as much as I dislike him has no business being a pro boxer but his physical attributes allow him to be world class.
A lot of people would say lomachenko or SRR but it's hard to say if they are naturally gifted or just outcomes of hard work and dedication

Um, nothing Pirog has done has ever suggested that he would "most likely" beat Golovkin.

Are you actually a real boxing fan?

Eveybody and his DOG thought Pirog would probably take it.

Is that right self taught?i love that, here in the U.K. any natural or unusual ability is coached out of em,same with cricket.
It’s often these poorer countries like Eastern Europe that breeds these kinda fighters, look at Lomo with his Russian dancing thing lol

Oddly enough I’d go the other with Golovkin, amazing genetics and clearly a guy that a good coach can teach, pre Abel Sanchez he was totally different.
Golovkin seems to have an ability to read his opponents very quick as I’ll guess he’s seen it all from his amateur days

Mouth watering fight him and Golovkin I’d call it a genuine 50/50

Not really, people thought Pirog was better for a short time being when they were both prospects. On their showdown I'm pretty sure most people thought GGG would win.

He starched Danny Jacobs who I thought beat GGG, granted it was a jacobs who had undiagnosed cancer and the version of jacobs GGG fought was better, it still was a good win. Could Pirog had beaten the GGG when he was around I think so but I don’t know if he beats the GGG that beat Lemieux.

That was almost 9 years ago. Jacobs was a prospect, then. Pirog, and Golovkin, were also up and coming prospects.

Maybe Foreman. He pretty much just put gloves on and was a success from the start.

Toney was trying to play football but failed out of college. He became middleweight champ around the time he would've been finishing college. Unlike Foreman, he had the sort of moves ypu'd expect from someone who was groomed to box professionally from a young age.

Sanders was an elite athlete. He was seriously talented in sprinting and golfing. Beat the crap of Wlad at a time when he was practically disinterested in fighting.

The cancer talk is unfounded. Jacobs had to pass a physical. If you have bone cancer that's enough to affect your fighting, you'll fail (anemia).

I mean Sergio Martinez has to be up there though, started at 20 and became one of the top 3 p4p guys. Very high level slickster style as well considering how late he took up fighting.
