Couldn't agree more. He took a serious beating last weekend and he should avoid such fights in the future or he will get injured badly. Even if he is working properly and taking the whole thing with a serious note he isn't good enough to fight those big names. He might look better with 30 lb less and would move faster and quicker BUT he has still the same skillset and that's not enough. He should fight some guys on his level, probably on the bigger events as an undercard fight of Joshua, Whyte and all the other names from Hearn. I mean...take a look at his ****ing head after the Yoka fight...my gosh, this is looking HORRIBLE
Just got round to watching the fight now..Allens ring walk made me lmao but it went all downhill from there. Watching him get beat up like that wasn't enjoyable. He offered absolutely nothing in that fight. I see he has deleted his twitter now..it will do him good to step back have a break and go from there. No point him being in there with the big boys. Not saying he should stop boxing though, im sure he don't want to hear that. He can have a laugh but he has to know when to get serious. He can 100% compete on the British scene and there is no shame in that whatsoever.
Why do people talk like he is some sort of prospect? He has journeyman level ability so that is exactly the path he is taking. I dont see the issue.
It’s odd because I’m sure he said himself his plan was to fight on small shows and work his way into contention after gradual progrsssion. Then this Yoka fight comes along and he does a U-turn on it.
Its because he as been on a few PPVs and given these title shots for no reason that people think he is better than what he is. Said it before that he is Area level maybe British on a ridiculously good day. There was a thread a while ago and im sure alot of peopel said he will be Euro level! Madness
It's going to end in tears, the problem is he gets 9k for an Ortiz fight or peanuts for a low level British fight
Deleting his twitter account is perhaps a good thing for Allen and he can now dedicate himself properly to boxing because if he keeps taking these tough fights at such short notice, it isn't going to end well.
He was as slow as molasses ate punches all night, no head movement and only threw an occasional clubbing right. He is going to be unintelligible in a few years if he keeps on the way he is going.Brave, tough man ,but he has no ability.
Read the first paragraph and it appears he’s not just a naive, brave man, he’s also unfortunately completely delusional.
He’s also never really looked like a heavyweight to me. He’s not particularly tall for a HW and although he’s stocky I’ve always thought he would naturally be better at CW. He seems to carry lots of excess weight. I really think he’s a good guy so would love him to have more success..
He's worked with Dom Ingle and Peter Fury but doesn't last and soon flits off to somewhere else. Kugan and Eddie might think he's funny but he hasn't got the application for a dangerous game. He needs to go and get a job.
Says he was talked out of Dubois fight. Hearm said on IFL he'd told Allen he wasn't being offered enough money for it. How much did he pay him to get beaten up by Ortiz?
