Look at this video. The guy is a machine. Tremendous power, determination, conditioning. Don't be fooled by his relatively unimpressive KO rate. Early in his career he wasn't really knocking people out. But this has changed, he's a beast now. This is a guy who turned pro at 17 fighting in the CW division. It's awfully difficult for any teenager to be knocking out Cruiserweights. This isn't the FW division here guys.

Gassiev has to move up to HWD. Considering his recent talk he will do that after the Usyk fight and i think he can be a force there too. He will destroy a lot of the current Top 10 there. But i don't think he will beat Usyk.

Time is on his side. He's only 24. I don't think there is anything wrong with allowing himself to grow into the division and also give himself the opportunity to become undisputed at CW.

Gassiev, Briedis and Usyk are the three best CWs out there and all are one level above the rest. CW is really weak right now apart those three names. Staying a CW would be a mistake imo. After the Usyk fight there is nothing to win anymore for him. No matter if he wins or loses.

Yeah ignore his early low KO percentage, once the Russians realised he was good and pumped the drugs into him that KO percentage soon started creeping up. No wonder Uysk was so hesitant about wanting to fight in Russia.

Is what some trolls would say.

What do you mean? He dropped Lebedev and that was years ago. Gassiev has just been getting better. You can see a dramatic improvement from him throughout his career. He's obviously a better fighter now than he was when he fought Lebedev.

If the same Gassiev from the Lebedev fight showed up he would have lost to Dorticos. Gassiev unlike many other EE fighters has had to learn on the job and did not come to the pro ranks close to a finished product.
