Who would win? Louis could outbox Foreman, but Louis had a weak chin. If Galento could drop Louis, Foreman could KO him.

Louis would win, because foreman was tailor made for him.

Every time Foreman breathed, Louis would counter him.

Louis's chin is probably not bad enough to save Foreman from this stylistic nightmare!

Foreman for me here. Stylistically I disagree with Janitor that this matchup favors Louis. I don't think the way to beat Foreman is to have mediocre movement at best (plodding), a chin that isn't hard to find, and being in the pocket and exchanging. Not sure how that is a stylistic edge for Joe at all, I think Foreman would love such a foe. That isn't to say Joe couldn't win, he certainly could with his offensive arsenal, but I wouldn't say he has any stylistic advantage here.

LHW Conn hurt Louis, but Foreman couldn't?

This is how I see it too.
Foreman would end what Max Baer began. With the difference that Foreman was better than Baer in every department.

Foreman by knock out. Louis was not fast enough with his footwork to keep off foreman , george was great cutting the ring and he had a much better chin... And please.. Don't compare foremam with baer..he was bigger, stronger, tougher,he had a wider arsenal and had a much better jab, and did hit harder too. Joe louis and jack dempsey were ring side in caracas for the foreman-norton fight and they agreed each other about foreman being the most powerful puncher that they ever saw. Yes, louis was more complete but foreman wins it

    Foreman could hurt him.

That wouldn't get him very far!

Exhibit A: Joe Louis vs Max Baer.

Exhibit B: George Foreman vs Ron Lyle.

If you can't see that Louis has a stylistic advantage, then you probably don't understand the sport!

What exactly did Max Baer began?

A competition to see how many punches a person could absorb, inside four rounds?

Lyle and louis were not even similar. Also lyle was 6'3 220 pounds of muscle, not 6'1 1/2 and 200 . foreman would overpower louis easy

    A. Louis was not static unless he chose to be.
    B. Louis did not have a mediocre chin.
    C. Styles make fights.

If you think Max with a broken hand is comparable to Foreman, you might want to think about finding a new sport to analyze.

If you think the Foreman vs. Lyle represents Foreman at his best, again, you need to rethink how you analyze fighters and matchups.
