This content is protected A fight that's always interested me. Lightning in a bottle, or could the explosive & hard hitting Konadu of laid the pain on Sahaprom this early again if they were to rematch?
I think Veerapol was pretty much the finished product offensively even at this early stage of his career, but he became more refined as time went on, and likely wouldn't have been caught capitalizing on his advantage in the manner that he did against Konadu in a hypothetical rematch. Konadu was always dangerous...But I have Sahaprom winning a decision or later stoppage in a rematch even a year later.
Where do you respectively rank Konadu and Sahaprom? Do you think Kondau was a one hit wonder sort of fighter? He looked completely ineffective dropping every round against Tapia years later...
Good fight Russell. Konadu wasn't hurt at all by that flash kd in round 1...in fact he may have needed it...it seemed to have angered him more than anything else...it motivated him to get busy and get things over with like he did in the next round. Both guys were like short lived, temporary phenoms...but fun to watch anyway, y'know?
Spot on. Veerapol actually has connections to the P4P lineage currently continuing on today, he was tied with Manny Pacquiao wasn't he?
Bump. Apologies for not answering this question. Sahaprom probably would rate higher than Nana at bantamweight based on his extended second reign. But, Nana was a pretty spectacular offensive fighter who could be really dangerous if you allowed him to get into any sort of rhythm, and wins over an admittedly past peak Roman, Sahaprom and Chuvatana indicate that he remained dangerous throughout his career.
