wrong, calzage NEVER dealt with a run of difficult opponents in his whole career.

so its the opposite of what you claim.

It's an honest question, who had Kovalev beaten at 175 that's was so outstanding?

He's one of my favourite fighters, but name his top 3 wins for me.

That wasn't a difficult run Ward had.

So now he wasn't a world beater although he was the number 1 at 168 and 175.

Amazing because you've changed the goal posts once again. First he never had tough fights, then he never had a tough run, then Wards run at 175 was much better and now he wasn't a world beater.

So who's Kovalevs best wins at 175?

dont deny that calzaghe never had to put together such a level for that long. You sound like Trump trying to explain why he gropes women ("cos ...co....cos...we gotta stop ISIS!")

A matter of numbers. Hopkins beat four noteworthy names post-Calzaghe, post-Ward Froch beat three, Hopkins won five belts post-Calzaghe while post-Ward Froch won two. Statistically Hopkins achieved more after his lost to Calzaghe than Froch achieved after his loss to Ward.

Now, there's certainly a case to make that the fighters Froch beat were a higher standard than the fighters Hopkins beat in those respective periods of their career, but that wouldn't change the basic statistics, and when making the claim that Froch had "a far greater amount of success than any of Joe's opponents had after Joe faced them" it's not just the fighters themselves who have to be considered but also the titles won.

In those terms Hopkins had a more successful period post-Calzaghe than Froch did post-Ward.

He didn't have tough fights outside of Kessler and an old Hopkins. 168 was not a strong or deep division when Joe was milking his WBO belt. Some solid talent stopped by on the way from the more lucrative 160 to the also more lucrative 175, most notably Jones and Hopkins. But Joe didn't fight either of them at that time.

Joe himself literally stated "I'm not looking for tough fights," yet fans like you insist he actually had them. Listen to the man.

Kovalev's best win was taken from him by the judges. He beat Ward. The fact Kovalev was prime, undefeated, and ranked higher P4P than anybody Joe ever stepped in the ring with at the time Joe actually fought them stands.
