Frank is tired of paying debts of Box Nation it seems. The viewing numbers were low. Right now they are bit up but doesn't give ground to keep Box Nation. I saw report some time ago where it was said that Box Nation is in big debts and that bankruptcy would give Frank a breathing space but that was before deal with BT. In some other interview not so long ago Francis Warren said, that Box Nation wasn't a good idea and that his father Frank took a gamble with it. And by the looks of it an announcement on Box Nation's closure is coming. As for Quuensbury promotions they are separate from Box Nation and they are not part of Box Nation, so that will make closure of Box Nation even easier.
Do you think showing MTK and international cards will work out cheaper for them? Much less production I suspect. They announced recently they'll be showing a load of DiBella's cards too, so it seems it's sticking around for now.
The MTK deal is for 12 cards a year isn't it? as for the DiBella thing, it is their 'NextGen' type shows I believe? and no idea how many of those shows happen each year. I think at best we'll be looking at one live card every two weeks on average (and the DiBella ones being on in the early hours of the morning at that). I know they have said they will keep the International stuff on there, but can you really see them hosting any big/major international card now, surely BT and Sky will just blow them out of the water.
It will be cheaper, no doubt. And I think BT will buy out Box Nation or they just go for the closure.
They have a deal with HBO too I think, don't they? If they're smart they'll start getting the Japanese cards too, they can't be too pricey.
It's all very confusing but things doesn't looks good for Box Nation but they are looking good for Frank Warren and his Quuensbury Promotions.
