I do agree, although This Is Boxing and He No Respect Box always make me chuckle. He did an interview years back that was translated and it was much, much more interesting. It's the one where he said Froch is the kind of man whose wife makes his decisions for him.
good lord cant believe i have to answer this, for the strange answers he gives, i dont know if you realise but his english isnt so good... lol and 2 when he says italy or kazak in the world cup he probably doesn't follow football and dont know they are not in the damn thing. hes not punch drunk ffs listen to him talk in Russian he talks way better.
you forgot a few this is new story this is true fight im an boxer not promotion pre 2015 - this is box im stay here
The days of needing to speak English to sell in America are long over. Cotto is an example. The third highest PPV seller of his time. Pacquiao also didn't really speak English, sounded like a complete dunce when he tried. Canelo doesn't do interviews in English, as a result he is communicates his message well. All three huge PPV sellers. GGG should interview in russian and use a good translater. He'd probably sell more.
Maybe he would but I think his little broken English trademarks made part of the charm. It certainly did in the UK anyway
GGG is not slow But he certainly "slows down" people in the ring with him, he has that effect. its magic.
I don't know Kazakh or Russian but when I listen to interviews in his native language, he doesn't seem to be slow at all
I'd like to see the OP placed in a boxing ring and faced with a top level boxer and be able to compute all the variables in a split second, react to them and recompute the next scenario seamlessly from the previous and towards the next. And do that for 36 minutes while all the time having your senses unbalanced by being punched in the face and body and battling the fog of war and fatigue. You think all that isn't a form of high intelligence? Think again. It's not just muscle memory....
why u having a go at guy speaking a foreign language in his own country? You seem kind of old empire colonist? perhaps you prefer a dumb stare from clenelo.
He does need to start using a translator. I am getting tired of him using 3 different phrases for every question asked.
I have a theory that whenever GGG is bored, and wants to troll the interviewer, or if he doesn't like the question, resorts to these catchphrases. I saw an interview with him in English where he managed to understand some subtle questions and where his English was a lot better than some later ones. He may be swinging the lead ...
