Totally agree only so many decent coaches in the north west though. I always thought it was a decision made to get him on sky going with Gallagher, seems his relationship with frank was very frosty round the same time.
Agree mate.....still think for me he is a super fly though. Skill wise great but seems size is an issue.
Spot on mate and why did Gallagher allow Paul to go through with the fight if Paul had a bug Liam smith pulled out of his fight so why let Paul go ahead with his doesn’t make sense ?
Hope he isn't going to fight at super bantamweight, get eaten alive by some average fighter at that weight. But wouldn't shock me if fast car made McDonnell v butler, come back cross roads fight for both.
I fancy Paul, all he would have to do is take that jab away. Met McDonnell in Manchester airport, he was flying to Dubai with his missus and baby before the inoue fight, top fella, I actually spilt his black coffee getting a pic.
Maybe but it all depends on what that Rodriguez fight has took out of Paul and let’s not forget Paul upper body movement is not the same with Gallagher and that’s what Paul would need to take McDonnells jab away imo
That was when frank screwed hobson over by telling him theyd do loads of work together and we should start by putting stuey in with paul. Tbf to frank, he got paul a world title. It was just a shame that he made the wrong choice and he took the gamble to vacate and drop back down. But there again hindsight is a wonderful thing. I dont rember if paul was mand for tete, he did have a fight bk down at sfly between stuey and tete. It was against garnica if iirc but i can understand if frank thought that keeping paul at sfly and getting him the shot at tete, if frabk knew all this was in the pipeline, i can understand them going that route. Tete had some losses although he was champ, he isnt seen like he is today. and back then tete was a fiv lower than he is now.
I can understand why they went for Tete if I remember Tete spewed it and refused to fight on a couple of fights before he fought Paul so I guess they fought he was s bottle job
