Wilder has now avoided Povetkin and Joshua. Both fights got cancelled because Wilder got scared and made excuses to not fight them.

Is Povetkin officially now the 2nd best hw at the world? Atleast Povetkin got the courage to fight AJ, while Wilder doesn't. Plus Wilder is scared of Povetkin too LMAO.

yes povetkin was going to knock wilder out like that other eastern European who knocked wilder out the in the ams

povetkin was bad style for him he is short and is compact and can punch very hard these are the fighters wilder had issues in the ams...........

Wilder booked his flight back to America from the first sign of issues never wanted to fight povetkin

Although I agree with your whole statement at this point I go

    1. Aj
    2. Wilder
    3. Povetkin.

Amazes me that in 22 fights Joshua would have beat povetkin, klit, whyte and Parker.

Of course. Wilder is a FRAUD, with a padded record and pure china in his jaw. Can't wait until he gets annihilated.

That’s what should come with being champ, give AJ his due, since winning the IBF from Martin he’s not ducked anyone.
Never been a Wilder fan but I did have him favourite to beat Povetkin in Russia and would still favour him,if Pryce can wobble Povetkin then I’m sure Wilder or AJ could knock him out clean.
I’ll never forget Wlad visibly hurting Povetkin with his jab alone

I rate Povetkin higher on record and H2H. He hits just as hard as Wilder but he's fought better competition and his technique is a hell of a lot better.

Probably in the knowledge that the WBC would come to the rescue as usual, disgusting that Whyte did more than enough to get himself mandatory to Wilder, only for them to turn it round and make him fight Ortiz(a guy Wilder just beat)to become mandatory again.

WBC have to be the worst, crooked organisation going for stuff like that.

Good summary. Wilder is a limited fighter with a padded record and a glass jaw. He would have been annihilated by Povetkin, which is exactly why he found a way to avoid fighting him, just like his team found a way out of facing Joshua more recently.

You can make a case for it on resume basis but I personally don't. I just rank Wilder higher h2h at the moment and also there's the age factor as well, one guy in his absolute prime, the other has one foot out the door.

Povetkin causes so many problems for Wilder, to me Povetkin is an older, but more experienced and more upgraded version of Dillian Whyte.

Povetkin is one of those that Tyson Fury would avoid like the plague, more so than Joshua and Wilder put together, simply because he is such a brawler. He'd outbox povetkin all day long, but if he can't sustain it, he's in trouble. You don't get breathers against povetkin. If Wilder plays his usual jab-right hand nonsense against Povetkin, he's getting his head ripped off. I'd have povetkin higher than Wilder if we are talking about a head-to-head scenario. Only Joshua beats him cause he's got the height AND the physicality to do so, and doesn't mind having a scrap.

Likewise, if Johann Duhaupas was able to literally walk through Wilder's flush punches for 11 rounds without even seeing the canvas once in Alabama (Wilder's hometown), Povetkin can also take / avoid Wilder's punches without getting stopped, especially in Russia.

And if Wilder couldn't knock Duhaupas out clean, then the chances of him knocking out a much better fighter in every department in Povetkin is even lower.

And if Duhaupas can give Wilder a black eye whilst being even on the scorecard at the time of the premature stoppage in a 50/50 fight, then Povetkin can knock Wilder out clean.

And if Povetkin can knock Duhaupas out cold whilst Wilder couldn't, then Povetkin can also knock Wilder out clean too.

And if a much inferior, but similar styled heavyweight in Evgeny Romanov managed to stop Wilder in Russia. Then so can Povetkin.

All the evidence points to only one direction, which is that had they fought , Wilder's chances of winning doesn't seem to be very high.

And Povetkin was off balance against Price. At no point was he wobbling. Go ahead and watch the end of that round and see Povetkin literally walking back to his corner without his legs shaking.

Yes admittedly it was him off balance,I just have a suspicion that Povetkin against a good big man could struggle, just a hunch but one I’m sticking by?
