Let's say Razor stopped Lewis and was Bowe's mandatory opponent. How would we expect this fight to go?
That's a bit like saying ''What if Razor Ruddock was a better fighter than he actually was?" So if Ruddock stopped Lewis, he'd be a different Ruddock to the one we knew and it'd be a very different proposition entirely. But he lost to all the very best heavyweights he fought, so I'm picking Bowe.
Bowe stops Ruddock in a short exciting war.Big Daddy is hurt early but catches a wide open Razor with smashing upper cuts . Bows by ko 3
I can't see Razor beating Lewis. No way. Let's say WBC make this tournament this way: Holyfield to face Lewis nd Bowe to face Ruddock. In that case Hoyfield would stop green and unexperienced Lewis in the late rounds and Bowe would KO Ruddock in 3-4 rounds at most.
Bowe, late stoppage. Climbs off the deck and it is another of those "what if" fights for Ruddock. As in what if Ruddock had taken advantage when he had him...…… Or why didn't Razor throw a right hand? Etc. But Bowe's workrate and combos get the job done eventually. But the wear and tear to finally get Ruddock out of there has a bigger effect on Bowe. So he's washed up 1 or 2 fights prior to the Golata fights.
Lets say Ruddock lands a lucky one like McCall on Lewis and fights Bowe, i think both would have brawld it out with Bowe coming out on top. Maybe Ruddock getting up, but the chances would be pretty high Bowe winning this by TKO.
Rock Newman was a gutless slime. The kind rarely found outside of boxing. Bowe was given an extremely easy path to the title.
Bowe would ride out the early charge from Ruddock with his better boxing and movement .bowe in about seven rnds with Ruddock busted up on the ropes
