Ironically after all those adverts there will only be 2 belts around the waist of one man, the other 2 will be over each shoulder or over his arms.

 

Pretty sure they both do go up, although if Usyk wins I could see him taking the Bellew payday first.

Tony is interested in fighting the winner for all the belts, and he will be especially keen if the winner is Usyk who doesn't punch as hard.

 

And the ring belt will be over the over arm, while the ali trophy will be in the other hand, absolute scenes

@Odins beard, no, I mean professional American football. Why would a cruiserweight-sized young American choose to become a professional boxer, when he would be better off making a career in football (more money and less brain damage).

 

Sorry I don't buy into the "all the good boxers are in health and safety rugby" line.

Well, if the Gassiev from the Lebedev fight shows up then I agree, but have you considered that Gassiev was only 5 years pro at that time with no deep amateur success? It takes time to master your craft. Many fighters spend time in the amateurs doing that, but some learn on the job.

Consider Marco Antonio Barrera. He turned pro at 15 years old and didn't look like Barrera until 10, 11 years experience as a pro. For most fighters technique doesn't come naturally, you have to work at it.

 

There are far more division I athletic scholarships given to football than there are to boxing. For a lot of people a college scholarship is the most viable option to the middle class. Cruiserweight boxing is not a viable career for all, but maybe the 5 best in the world.
