What are the chances for a bad verdict by the judges in Golovkin vs. Canelo 2?

I'll define a bad verdict. When the media at a 60% or higher amount says the wrong person won the fight.

Something like 75%+ of the media felt Golovkin won the first fight, almost all of those who didn't were financially connected to Canelo or his countrymen.

We could see a repeat of this.

Also remember a bad verdict can swing both ways. Suppose Canelo does enough to fairly win this time, but the judges and promoter are thinking a Golovkin decision could to force a very lucrative rubber match?

There will be a third fight simply because of money $$$$$. Also of people are going to give close round to GGG based on feeling bad because most people felt he got robbed. I caution people to stfu and put the fight on mute and score round by round.

Well considering it was a robbery the first time around, Canelo has tested positive twice and people are trying to brush it under the carpet, the WBC are talking like Canelo is their champion.

I think all in all Golovkin needs a stoppage, their first fight was a clear GGG win and they called it a draw, the fix was already in.

I think it really does all depend on the judges selected and agreed to but my gut feeling is Golovkin won't get a fair shake if it goes to the cards and again he looks to have done enough.. again.

If it goes to points I fully expect a controversial decision. Personally I thought the first fight was close, I know most gave it to Golovkin by a decent margin but I think in reality there's not much to separate them and their styles clash in a way that you may always get close decisions. Some prefer the pressure and work rate of GGG, me I prefer the cleaner punching, better ring generalship and eye catching combinations and clearly the judges were equally divided in this regard.

It's Pac - JMM all over, judges WILL bend the truth to the big promotion as they expect a call back to 5-star hotels, and Canelo will have his regular judge on the payroll.

The question really is: can GGG convince the two other officials he was better in 7 rounds? I think so, he needs 8-9 rounds in the bag, a bit more clearly, and gets the majority decision. Unlike JMM, he'll avoid the KDs.

Body shots will help, smart aggression and angles, mixing it up, less straightforward - he can do so much better IMO and Canelo's peaked in that match. Am I worried about the cards? Sure. Do I think GGG can win a decision? Of course.

Bought judges will do just about anything for a buck without feeling any guilt. I just hope they fear the scrutiny that should be on them this time around. We have seen this happen in a number of fights. Let's hope it happens here.

No bad verdict needed because such as in the 1st match, Golovkins legendary atg KO power will come through again and he will KO Canelo

Golovkin has to know that he's in line for a royal rogering by the judges if he doesn't pull out all the stops. We all predicted it last fight, and the rotten scorecards came through as we knew they would. I feel that he is probably going to need a repeat of his last performance + a KD in order to get a SD win. Guaranteed that even if Canelo comes out of it looking like the elephant man there will be one judge scoring it 116-114 to him.

I fully expect Golovkin to get robbed on the cards by hand picked very well payed judges if it goes 12. I'm convinced of it. But to be fair to Canelo I am only 50-50 on whether he is pumped full of performance enhancers.

Anytime a highly popular, and especially a high revenue generating fighter is involved, the odds increase drastically over two lesser known fighters going at it.

Yikes over 50% of the voters think this is fixed. And they might be right.
