Apologies if there's already a thread about this I'd like to hear people's opinion about this possible fight which I can see happening, Bellew is seemingly staying at HW and just a few days ago said he believes he can beat Fury, Fury needs a few fights before he's ready for the likes of AJ and Wilder, Bellew is a name who can draw big crowds and publicity and after the two Haye wins he has some legitimacy as a heavyweight.

    Thoughts ?

He has no legitimacy as a heavyweight but hey, why not...

I'm not really convinced that fight will happen. Fury already said he's not interested in fighting anyone until he gets to fight Joshua/Wilder, so that sounds like he's gonna avoid any threat and fight about 4/5 jokers until he gets a shot. Bellew and Price are ready to fight him, he already ducked Price before Price got found out.

I give both guys a decent shot of beating the current Fury, unless he losses weight and gets back to what he was, and what he was probably had drugs helping him mu hah ha ha.

Fury will have 2-3 more poor opponent fights then will retire with some lame excuse. He will know that he isn't good enough and he won't want to lose his unbeaten record. He is in this now just to make as much money as possible and that's it.

Fury is not interested. He will fight a couple more bums then Charr. Then, who knows? But presently it is not in the offing.

Right now and I know people hate to admit it, Tony stops him. Avoid at all costs for Tyson, he needs 3/4 more fights the someone like a bellew.

Without a shadow of a doubt, in his current condition Fury gets stopped by Bellew. That’s a reflection of just how much hard work Fury has got if he’s to get anywhere near where he was.

Bellew is seriously underrated, too. He’s a very savvy fighter, whom like the more superior cruiserweights like Gassiev & Usyk, can carry that speed & skill at heavyweight.

A fight id absolutely love to see is Bellew v the winner of the WBSS. Another one I don’t think is as clear cut as people make out.

Right now Bellew beats Fury (unfortunately)

Fury doesn't want anything to do with him because of that. Otherwise he'd be DavidHaying his way over to land of PPVs.

Think you're way off here tbh. Why would Fury want to fight Bellew ?? Well he would make more money against Bellew than any other opponent at HW except AJ and for a much lower risk, love him or hate, rate him or not Bellew is a name known to the casuals who can draw big money and hype a fight like few others.

The fact that Fury is already name-dropping Tony is proof they are looking for an angle to sell it to the masses.

Get the hype machine on the go and this becomes a big fight especially with the jaw jacking they are both capable off and bizarrely you could make Tony favorite for this.

In much better shape than Fury has probably enough pop to at least mean fury has to take him seriously, decent skills, decent but not great conditioning but better than Tysons at the minute and hasn't lost in years. Even with a poor opponent Fury looked awful. I wouldn't mind betting he has another 2 gimmes then someone like Bellew...if Bellew loses he loses to the come backing champ so not harm to his ego and the fight will do good ££ i reckon.

A heavyweight fighting a former world champion cruiser doesn't sound so bad on paper does it?

It would be boring as hell, how can Bellew openly admit that he would fight fury now but not a fully fit fury like the one that beat Wladimir, personally I see fury beating him whichever shows up.

bellew knocks out any version of fury, so does aj, wilder, the list goes on, fury is one of the most overated fighters ever, living of 1 good performance against a 40 year old unmotivated wlad by running round the ring and jabbing, he's been put down by a cruiserweight before and bellew would do it again.
