Fighting past his prime with the idea of having another belt and getting ko all over again on the process?

    No. Since KTFO6, he's fought —

    Rios
    Algieri
    Bradley (2X)
    Vargas
    Mayweather
    Horn

That's SEVEN fights with no one seriously hurting him or even close to dropping him.

Well atleast he took his time after getting KOd for the first time.

Roy came back immediately and his brain hadnt even recovered from the Tarver KO, his legs were completely gone, he spent the entire fight against the ropes and he got KOd again by Johnson and it permanently damaged him.

Roy was slipping gradually before Tarver but the Johnson fight just destroyed him, he came into that fight with no legs and left his chin on the canvas for the rest of his career after taking 9 rounds of punishment against the ropes.

    Yes.
Old school Pac finishes Horn, blazes through Bradley 1st time, no 2nd needed. And with Buboy running the show is a recipe for disaster. For Arum to want Pac to be on the undercard against Alvarado told me Bob wants to cash in.

Matthysse will let us gauge how bad Pac is slipping, but he should still win this, which keeps the delusion going until a real deal, will make Pac look like a lobster out of his shell; exposed.

i dont think so, he seems to have healthy family support that would not allow that to happen.

I'd like to think Roy Jones, Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Bernard Hopkins, Swee Pee, Brett Favre, Michael Jordan, Shaq Diesel, Tiger Woods, (you get the picture-;)) are all greats that had family showing them early footage and then ask: Do U think you're the same as back then?:(

Man, that dude is either broke, going broke or..just too painful to say goodbye to what he's done his whole life.
And IF it's true that Arum isn't the sole promoter and Pac is...man I dunno...:eusa_doh: Seems like a safe-cherry pick of a fight. Yeayh Matthysse is strong, but I can't see a loss in speed from Pac that worries me.

Any top tier fighter with a B-side name will brake the bank. Pac knows it...but for some reason he went from Horn to Matthysse? I dunno, that Porter wouldn't be for a vacant belt, but I bet it would go GREAT PPV #s.
And why wait for Spence or Crawford to get any better?
Danny Garcia would also do way better numbers IMO than a fight like this--sent 2 ESPN the backup channel.
    Pac took a must-win fight

point taken. i just see pacs family more involved publicly in his decisions, than i have other fighters. and youre right, lucas is a fairly safe fight considering theres bigger paychecks out there, but a lot more dangerous, so maybe they already contribute to his decision making,
