UFC 226: Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier & Francis N'Gannou vs. Derrick Lewis RBR

Sounds like your run-of-the-mill King Mo fight: he does plenty of "fainting" these days!

 

I'm fine with Cornier defending against Lesnar for his first defence. Volkov Vs Blaydes can be a title eliminator on the undercard.

I really don't want to see Lewis get a shot.

Miocic is a brilliant fighter. No shame in losing to one of MMA's GOATs

 

According to Dana apparently his ego got out of control after that win over Overeem which makes sense because he has not looked the same and I wouldn't be surprised to see him back on the undercards or smaller UFC events for a while.
If that division wasn't so poor I doubt he would have got a shot so soon but even the media built him up after knocking out the glass jawed Overeem

 

Despite losing the co-main few days before this still ended up being 1 of the best cards of the year with Ngannou v Lewis the only disappointment.

 

Ngannou was a joke on Saturday, I even brought some new people over to watch UFC for the first time and they saw THAT.

Good thing the main event redeemed everything. What a garbage fight that was.

 

Ngannou was just scared to fight. Lewis was garbage himself but was doing more so was winning the rds. Even in the 3rd when clearly losing and not gassed Ngannou still did nothing. Absolutely pathetic display.

 

Nah I got no beef with the Lesnar fight tbh it's a good style clash.

I'm ok with an immediate rematch as well tbh, I prefer seeing champs work their way back up but I'm not against rematches.

I just think at this point Volkov Vs Blaydes determines a legitimate challenger.

I thought Bisping Vs GSP was a joke fight and look how that ended up.

I think Lesnar can put on a good show against DC and I'd prefer Volkov/Blaydes to get a the next shot over Miocic.

Miocic Vs Lewis is a good fight and would set up the next opponent.

Bring on the Lesnar fight. I'll tune in for that big time and so will millions of others. Lesnar is a physical freak and when he's inside the octagon you can't take your eyes off him for a second.

The fight will be huge and bringing in buys is all the UFC cares about . They couldn't care less about whiny SJW's on a boxing forum.

That 4 billion investment has to be recouped and milquetoast fights and personalities won't do it but MaGregor like theatrics will.

DC vs Lesnar will be a great event.

 

The Lesnar postfight confrontation was one of the most cringeworthy spectacles I've ever witnessed. Both guys hiding smiles pretending to be angry at each other. WWE could never get away running a promo that awful.

I'd rather they just nuke the HW division like they did at one point with LW than see that disgraceful drug cheat get an undeserved title shot. Really wouldn't be that bad as HW currently only has 2 good fighters, Stipe and DC, who could probably both boil down to LHW.
