87-88 til after McCall beat seldon I believe....oliver was coming into his own anyways when he beat Bruce but Mike's **** conviction made being a sparring partner a moot point regardless......so 1987 to 1992...give or take A little side info....oliver actually warned mike about buster during his preparation, and said he was very dangerous....tyson had basically laughed at Oliver for losing to buster and was very overconfident going into his title fight against Douglas
Had a quick look through his record n besides the lewis breakdown in the ring he only lost on points, never stopped.
Besides this little bit nothing, but he said it was due to family issues. I hope there is either truth to this or he himself or someone advised him knowingly it was NO time for a comeback.
