If it is legal why do they stop other fighters from using it? It does provide something similar to a cast. If they were that concerned with damaging their hands they would use orthopedic gloves and would also wrap their hands properly.
Abel will of known prior because of Liam Smith and team had already had issues and been vocal about it,can imagine that kinda thing getting round. Wether it’s illegal or not it’s clearly something that makes others uncomfortable and quite frankly it a poor show if they can’t all agree on something before stepping in the ring.
Lol that’s just how you think isn’t it?youve totally made a mug of yourself and yes I know if you don’t agree with someone they crying right? Come on Isal get a grip I’m merely replying to the OP and saying it’s not solely a Sanchez thing or infact on the film Smiths team made more a fuss about it.
But he's not going to it seems.... Sanchez said he won’t wrap Golovkin’s hands different than he would in other states (for the rematch), “because I have 10 other fighters and I wanna make sure I wrap them the same way that I’m gonna wrap them anywhere in the world. “I don’t wanna go somewhere where they’re gonna tell me I can’t do this, and now my fighter, in his mind, is thinking, ‘Oh, I’m used to this,’ and it’s gonna affect him. So I think, mentally, that affects you.” Maybe he's just playing a little mind-game with Canelo?
he has a point, when things start to go bad in the ring, its natural to wonder why its going different than you thought it would, and anything outside of normal procedure instantly becomes a believable reason, which in turn changes the mindset from completely confident to a more fatalistic expectation, which doesnt help the situation in the least.
It doesn't really matter who cries about Canelo's handwraps if it isn't against the rules now is it? I deal with facts, you deal with gossip and emotion. Unless you can provide a link or a source that explains that his wraps are illegal in NV, you or anyone else bringing it up is pointless.
Pacquiao, Golovkin, and Canelo have all been called out and accused of illegally/immorally wrapping their hands. Seems like something you need Brother Nazim in their locker room for.
According to Sanchez, Nevada has now revised their rules to expressly permit this “stacking” kind of hand wrapping. It was not in their rules before. There’s an interview with Goosen where he says it’s illegal mostly everywhere.
There definitely ARE rules for wrapping hands, but I sure don't know what they are. This isn't listed in any of the general rule lists that I've seen. Does anyone actually know, and can supply proof?
