I feel Winky Wright and Marlon Stalin had the best high guard styles when boxing, can you name anyone better?

It's a matter of preference really. This was covered once.
    Peek a boo
    Cross armed
    Shoulder roll ect.
What makes you comfortable then work on if.
Me personally I found it hard to get fast powerful shots off with the Wright ..Starling style but again that's just me.

Melankomas' whole legacy is having never been pointed against so if that's true it'd be him. over a hundred wins and no one ever landed a scoring blow. If not the greatest defense of all time then he's the legend of the greatest defense of all time.

To the best of my knowledge Melankomas used a standard high guard. No special technique, he just kept his hands up and stayed safe. It's also said Melankomas was against striking and never actually scored a punch but rather tired his opponent into defeat. They would either quit or tire themselves too much to stand.

Sounds like a 'made-for-TV' type of fighter.
