Why do over half the fantasy fight threads on this site feature a boxer competing a division he never competed in?

That wasn't a flash knockdown. Linares timed him and knocked him down. Loma got right back up because Linares can't punch to save his life. He has decent boxing skills, but is proven to be very fragile and to lack any power.

Linares had already been brutally destroyed 3 times before fighting Loma and only had a belt because the good 135 lb fighters had already moved up. Linares would be a complete joke compared to Cotto in his prime.

My money would be on Cotto @ 140. Too big and strong. Not to mention, he has an excellent combination puncher.

Cotto was vulnerable BIGTIME at 140. His boxing got better as he got older I always thought, brawled more when younger. Aged well !

You realize Ricky Hatton did beat up the Champ, Kostya Tszyu, at 140, right?

Pinto, Bailey, and Torres were all heavy hitters at 140. Shouldn't they have KO'd the 'chinny' guy? Or at least drop?

Lomachenko has never fought at 140. And we already know that the "Foul Pole of 140" Miguel Cotto, would break Loma's technique with a vaunted body attack, which consisted of repeated shots to the torso, hips, and nuts. The Corley, Torres, and Judah fights are exhibits A, B, and C. Those hard nut shots really took it out of each opponent. Fight changing low blows is what Cotto was known for back then.

You're right. He won't be weight drained but his chin might not follow him up. Well have to wait and see.

You could be right. I don't think Loma is going to turn into a puncher at 140.

I seen him rocked more times at 140 than at any other time in his career, at 140 he was very vulnerable
