DeGale vs Eubank Jr What do you think?

If this does happen, what channel will it be on?
Surely this isn't another attempt at shoving another ITV PPV down people's throats again.

Honestly, Degale is no Groves, and neither is he a Saunders. He is a decent boxer and a decent fighter with a decent chin, but neither side of him is anything special. I know a lot of people hate on Eubank Jr, but as I've said many times, if you let him get up close to you, he smashes you to pieces. Groves was clever enough to avoid that. But Degale, I fear for him. If Degale tries to have a war with Eubank Jr, then he's in serious trouble.

I fancy Eubank Jr to win, easily.

 

Degale has been retired since Badou Jack, it's just no one has remembered to tell him. I hope he doesn't get too hurt by whomever he winds up fighting. If it's Eubank Jr. It could be a painful watch because Degale would've had few problems before he was shot. As it is he's likely going to prove fodder for groves, Saunders or CEJ, whichever can provide him with a final payday.

 

DeGale looks to be at that stage where anyone who can just work for a little bit will probably beat him. He didn't exactly blow Truax away in their rematch.

 

CEJ would piece him up, shot or not. Degales penchant for taking rounds off and lacking aggression would be all wrong here.

 

Theres something wrong with DeGale, he looks like a shot fighter, he looks done. Feels like he shouldnt be but thats how it looks in the ring. Eubanks beats him up. DeGale technically a better fighter but Jr is guna force a high tempo on Degale whether he likes it or not. I think he stops him too. A fully gassed out DeGale just getting swarmed upon and too tired to do anything more than try block.

Degale is a far inferior fighter to Groves....and Groves lost rounds to JR.


Degale doesn't have the heart to beat JR.

Degale is fairly over rated. He isn't good. He's a poor man's Calzaghe. Less skill, much less work rate. He seems like a fairly prissy individual as well. The best part of his fights, is his sister sitting in the crowd. Eubank Jr. is pure trash. Hopefully this fight doesn't happen. It's trash.

 

Eubank Jr gives a completely shot Degale a hellacious beating.

Degale has no pop in his punches, no jab and walks back in straight lines and sits on the ropes throughout the rounds.

If any fighter is made to measure for Eubank Jr it’s this completely shot Degale.

 

A year ago I'd have seen it like that but now? I think Degale is done and has no business in the ring.

 

Agreed. I'd actually favour CEJ now. I think he would wear DeGale down and win down the stretch after looking like a talentless buffoon in the early rounds. Shame, because the difference in ability between these two is huge...
