The specific word in the thread title is 'outbox'. The correct answer is 'no', Wlad could not outbox Ali. Could he win? Possibly, yes. But that's another question....

Leonard had more fire power but the comparison is close

Norton outboxed Ali so yes, Wlad could certainly do so. Whether he does or not depends on if Ali is able to read his rhythm and start disrupting it, as Wlad needs to be in his comfort zone to perform at his best, and those who take him out of him rapidly find opportunities starting to open up.

If he can't get past Wlad's jab though he's in major trouble.

Wlad's a terrible style match up for Frazier. That's a fight Joe's never going to win.

Wlad is absolute poison for smaller fighters. And by smaller I mean like 6'1 Chagaev and 6'2 Povetkin.

Chagaev was utterly dominated on the outside by Wlad's jab and footwork. He simply could not get close enough to do anything meaningful. Povetkin managed to get close (eating bombs as he did so) but found totally himself shut down by the Wlad clinch.

I can see an argument for Ali beating Wlad, I can't see one for little Joe Frazier.

He hasn't the uppercut or inside game to trouble Frazier. Buster Mathis and Bugnor resembled Wlad more than Foreman and they were soundly beaten out so your post is incorrect.

Povetkin and Brewster prove Joe would be a horrible match -up for Wlad.

Brian Jennings got past Wlads jab with ease. As did cement footed , slow as a sloth Sam Peter.

LOL.. The only thing Wlad can connect with is a clinch. Can't even land a jab on an absolute Bum.

Do you think Wlad has no chance?

I would bet on Vlad prime for prime for the main reasons you hate him so much, he is big and strong and thus gets away with alot of holding and manhandling.

Wrong as that maybe its the reality so lets not pretend it doesnt exist just because it bothers us.

Anyone saying this is an easy fight for Ali is dilusional, wlad was far bigger than any ali opponent and was no slouch athletically or skill wise either.

Insofar as their relative sizes are and how Wlad fights smaller guys, yes.

Oops, i was talking Vlad vs Frasier not Vlad vs Ali, i just realized i didnt specify,

Wlad vs Ali i would take Ali but i would bet it to be a easy win as most probably would, its not easy to fight a guy like vlad in his prime.

    LMFAO,
Cmom man, you don't truly believe such nonsense. Believing Ali could beat wlad is hard enough, playing with him is your delusion coming full force.

Ali beat the foreman that was in Africa after post poning and hardly training the last month before the fight.

GF could and most likely would best Ali 7/10x and that was mostly due to the size and strength difference. That's minimal difference when comparing the size and strength difference with wlad, add in the fact wlad has Elite talent

We all have opinions, some more ridiculous than others

No, but he has the clinch. Anyone making a case for Frazier better hope he has the legs to withstand a 240lbs man attempting to frontal dry hump him every time he ducks inside. That's what the pattern of this fight will be.
