You friggin meatballs are taking wlads worst care performance at 39 years old vs a 6'9" 265 lb switch hitter mental case and one of the most agile hw boxers of all time. And trying to claim Ali who wasn't remotely close to that size nor as remotely close to unbeatable as claimed being the opponent. Pre Brewster wlad was a total offensive machine but didn't take stamina into account. Brewster was able to take a pounding letting wlad punch himself out them took him out himself. Post Brewster wlad was a defensive machine, making certain he wouldn't leave his tank on empty, making him very difficult to deal with unless you're 7ft fury. And the wlad fury fought wasn't wlad at all.. that was a mentally 100% wife focused thinking routine show up and win easy wlad
Wlad gets DQ'd fighting illegally like that. I nominate Mills Lane as ref for this fantasy fight so Wladdy either opens up and gets stopped , or he refuses to stop holding and gets DQ'd. No more to it than that.
This is a very good opinion, one I'd say is the closest to my own, only difference being I truly believe this is a pick em fight where either winning is possible 10/10x
But never a prime version of their opponents, why? This thread for some reason points to wlads struggles with fury as why Ali "plays with him" . The facts are the size and talent alone weren't the main reasons for wlads struggles. Wlads mental state during the entire camp andvthroughout the fight, wlad was mentally elsewhere.. Which should be fully expected from any husband who's wife had been on and off suicide watch, facts
Ok ok, you're claiming the haye that came out it retirement for a couple paydays that was pummeled by bellew was the best haye ? You're claiming he ability, foot work and movement etc was as good as it was a decade prior ? Why do you guys cherry pick certain fighte to try strengthening a weak weak point
Tyson Fury isn't 6'9". David Price and Carmelo Anthony, who are both 203cm, which is just under 6'8" were taller than him. Tyson Fury is 6'7" at the most. Also, at 265 lbs Fury is a fat tub of lard that wouldn't last the distance with Ali. Fury was even very slow at 254 and 257. He looked much better at 247 and was light on his feet against Wlad, but Wlad was also an old man. If he can keep his weight under 250 and dispose of all the top guys in the division while reigning as champ I could get Fury being hyped, but he just hasn't done enough yet for me to think he would be much trouble Ali. I think the late 60's Ali would win, he's too elusive for Wlad. He might have got into Wlad head before the fight even begins. Late 60's Ali did not go to the ropes and had better stamina. Wlad only chance imo is against the 70's version.
So what you're saying is that you disagree with what I'm saying. Why don't you tell me how you really feel?
I'm not sure a prime 245lb WK would respect a later 1960s 200lb Ali's power all that much. If WK lands the hook it might be goodnight. 188lb Cooper virtually did that bar some glove shenanigans in the corner.
why wouldnt anyone respect a punch from a 200lb man? u r a fcuking idiot. These are not BA Baracus A team style fights where a fat guy takes a punch to the chin and then just glares at him.
Yea, keep my meatballs taste good don't they? Fury one of the most agile, OK whatever. If you think that mental case got into Wlad's head so easy, what do you think Ali would do. I get your BS excuses about Wlad's condition going into the fight but still he couldn't even connect with one decent punch on Fury. Fury's last opponent did more. Pre Sanders - Brewster fights, Wlad was aggressive but open for quick counters - plays into Ali's style who can counter, rope a dope, hold, and outlast you. Post Brewster Wald - too cautious, slow to get going (it would take him 5 freaking rounds to flash a power hook or cross), this still plays into Ali's advantage who could pile up points and confound him with movement.
