Ronnie is in a crazy tough fight.. then again so is Joyce. He’s beat Frampton twice and stopped cordina in armatures and also boxed lomachenchko so Joyce is very very experienced . Don’t let the 6 pro fights fool you. That been said, Ronnie is non stop.. will be in your face for 12 rounds. He can’t switch off for a second in this fight as Joyce can whack.. Ronnie takes over the fight late on... brilliant fight.
I know he was good but that is some cv -- thanks for the info mate tough one for ronnie but as you say he is a hard night for anyone!
he has had a lot of trainer changes? mccormack isnt having the best run with tiffany losing, then benson. John thain boxing soon too
this benson won't stop sharing tweets from his mates saying how he won the fight and must get a rematch. it is embarassing. and using the line of it being a 'home town' decision. oh yes, against a traveler from london in belfast
You would think it was a RJJ 1988 olympics style shafting he has been on the end of lol. As I said before, the lad is a serial fantasist.
Good move for David Brophy, I always thought he looked smaller than the big Super Middleweights, he proved by winning Commonwealth over in OZ that he can compete but moving onto British and Euro level he has defo got more chance at Middleweight.
John Docherty the 75kg Bronze medallist from this years Commonwealth games and a GB squad member turned professional with Matchroom today. John is a great talent and i think he will carve out a very good career in the paid ranks
Delighted for John in getting signed up by Matchroom. I sparred him years ago, it was very one sided in his favour. Very talented individual who no one will look good against. My one worry though David is a lack of power in his shots ? I don't think he will stop many. Hope I'm wrong.
Quality thread. A mention for Kieran Smith ( 10-0-0 ) who has been unlucky with a nasty cut in training but set to return in August. Looking forward to seeing him back in action. http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/738048
That's good news, wonder why he decided to turn over now though, he's still quite young I think. Where is he going to be training out of?
Good talent is smith. Decent amateur and everytime I have saw him as a pro he's looked good. He has really nice shot selection. Hopefully stays injury free and pushes on this year
