    Francesco Pianeta.

Only ever in or around Euro level at his best but it's a step up from the previous dude.

    Thoughts, friends?

People said Hearn was chatting rubbish when he said Fury will not be fighting anyone decent for a while.

    Hearn was right.

This guy is ranked 138th in the world on boxrec. Its a joke!!!

I think it was very commonly assumed that his first few fights would be against poorer opposition.

Yeah it's almost as bad as Hearn putting Khan in with Lo Greco and Vargas

Largely the sort of standard I think people were expecting.

Needs to show progression from his last fight in this fight and the next one which I expect to be around a similar standard and then kick on.

He got knocked out by Kevin Johnson 2 fights ago. Stop defending him. Please. It's awful.

Tyson Furys comeback is worse than David Hayes and that takes some doing.

So yeah Team Pianeta checking in! War Pianeta!

So? It points out the pure hypocrisy of you dreamboy Hearn. Pianeta is at least a former world title challenger. What the hell were Cook, Lo Greco and Vargas?

Fury is a coming off a massive lay-off with multiple spells in rehab for drugs and alcohol addition, a 100lbs weight loss and serious depression.

What excuse do Brook and Khan have to be fed Canadian bums at this stage in their careers by your dreamboy?

    It's horrific.
Dubois and Yarde both stop Pianeta at this point, early too.

lol. Shannon Briggs is a former world title challenger. I guess that will be the next fight.

The topic is on Fury. Not Khan, not Brook.

On Fury, Hearn laid it all out. He said how this would go down as when he was negotiating with Fury and Fury let him know that he wanted to fight scrubs then AJ. Whether one believes that is another matter but the two opponents so far tells me Hearn isnt far from the truth.

Fury is coming off a lay off, drugs etc etc. How long is that excuse going to be used to justify poor opponents?

The vast majority on here after the Seferi fight said Fury looked awful. In fact that was the worldwide boxing consensus on his performance. So you now expect him to go in with dangerous opponent? It’s a step up from Seferi and people are doubting whether Fury still has it, so to me it seems logical.

Yes the thread is not about Hearn but you brought him into it by mentioning his name. Eddie Hearn has no room to talk. Unlike Fury, Brook and Khan blitzed their comeback opponents and looked sensational, yet are now both arguably stepping down in opponent.

But you wouldn’t dare criticise your dreamboy.
