It might matter if they'd had previously met or not too. Do they fight with the experience they had in their respective peaks, or with them having not met before?
Greb. He was past his prime already by the first fight which he won, and second fight which he was blatantly robbed in, and fourth fight which majority reports say he won. Greb of 1919 beats the best version of Tunney.
Wish we had some tapes of the Greb v Tunney fights. Much harder to speculate w/o seeing what styles were working for the fighters in the bouts.
Tunney certainly had a more engineered (some might say contrived) career with his fights leading in succession to certain goals and his opponents strategically chosen. Meanwhile, Greb's seemed more haphazard and itinerant... Hop a train this week to Cleveland, next week to Baltimore, ad nauseum.
