Because KO's cause amnesia, and nationalistic proxy dickriding hinders people's judgment. The difference in skillset is staggering, Parker will win every round and finally end his KO drought and stop Whyte in 9, Hughie Fury would in all likelihood UD Whyte as well.
Funny thing about Whyte is that he gave Joshua his most brutal, eye-catching highlight reel KTFO. None of Joshua's early bum opponents were kayoed like that.
While I don't agree on the conspiracy theory, I do agree that if Whyte wins the fight, Wilder better have signed that contract 30 seconds afterwards or that contract from Hearn gets pulled. And as pointed out above, its nothing to do with ducking, Joshua v Whyte is simply a very lucrative fight which will fill Wembley, sell loads of PPV's in the UK, and if it does not happen quickly, the opportunity might go away if Whyte loses after Parker. Wilder better be watching that fight very closely and if Whyte looks like winning, he needs to sign and send off that contract ASAP or else that April date becomes Whyte's.
Dies Hearn really want to make Joshua, Whyte 2 Or is he using the possibility as a way of strengthening his negotiation position. I wonder if he's got an option on Parker if he wins the fight? although he surely couldn't face AJ inApril at Wembley, so soon after his last performance.
I think people do not understand how much money can be made from a Joshua vs Whyte fight in the UK. I would think that UK domestic earnings would likely be more than could be made from a Joshua vs Wilder fight. This is also the reason why Tyson Fury will never fight Wilder before Joshua. There is simply too much money to be made in a Fury vs Joshua fight even in Fury only fights 3-5 bums before fighting Joshua. That fight will make even more money than the Joshua vs Whyte fight. However, that money is only there if Fury remains undefeated. If Fury fights Wilder and looses, the will virtually half what he can earn against Joshua. Also, why would Fury fight Wilder? In the USA that is not a PPV and Wilder seems to want crazy money to fight in the UK. Why would Fury fight Wilder for 2-3 million if he goes from $20 million to $10 million for a fight against Joshua if he looses to Wilder. A Fury vs Wilder fight only happens after a Fury vs Joshua fight and only in Fury looses to Joshua. If you think Hearn is a hard negotiator, wait to what happens with Frank Warren in Fury has a belt, even if it is a low level belt.
I think J Parker has the more solid foundation it’s just a matter of him letting his hands go this time. I still favor Parker by a small edge
I think Parker's performance against Joshua is as underrated as Joshua's performance overrated. With a different referee that could have been a decent fight. And those scorecards were laughable. Most of the major media had it much closer. I think the better boxer takes this and that's not Whyte.
Because Parker A. hasn't gotten a ko in years B. has given away rounds to lesser fighters and C will probably be the victim of horrible cards for the second fight in a row and D. Parker is a fringe top 5 HW against a fringe top 10 HW, bigger upsets happen all the time. Parker should be the favorite, is the more established fighter, but I rate this a 55/45 with Parker barely the favorite because of the above four reasons.
And I'm gonna add to your list: I don't expect him to be in as good shape as he was vs AJ. Six weeks in the states and two in the UK sounds like a very short camp for the pie man....
