Tepora is starting to skewer Ortega in the chest with the left hand while backpedaling, even as the air becomes striated with Ortega's nonstop blur of ambidextrous uppercutting. Tepora is unable to really sit down on anything on the backfoot and is becoming a bit more flatfooted as Ortega forces him to expend a wealth of energy just on dodging his uppercuts. Ortega still flicking the jab up top in multiples but only as window-dressing and radar chaff, doing most of his substantial work downstairs whilst bowed forward.

Round 5

Tepora is pushing his right jab past Ortega, scrubbing the side of his neck with it. Tepora is attempting to dial in his lefty 1-2 but Ortega is diving in with too much erratic rhythm-breaking discord in his movement. Ortega not connecting on as many uppercuts as in the fourth, however. Tepora is moving a bit more effectively and utilizing his own jab more, leaving it held out to impale Ortega when he dives in.

Round 6

Tepora is taking pot shots from mid-range with lead right hooks & straight left hands. Ortega is holding both forearms up to pick off & bat down shots while pressuring. Lots of squatting & rising in place by Ortega, growing twitchy and incorporating some feints with his rear shoulder rolling partway forward (but not actually launching the left) to get a reaction from Tepora from outside. Tepora careful to stick & move with the jab, sliding his feet counterclockwise and then changing directions on a dime after completing a semicircle around Ortega. Slashing counter right hooks by Tepora as Ortega chases him into the ropes and crashes down with over-the-head left hands in pursuit, obliquely connecting on a few.
