The matchroom gravy train is getting derailed in style, Povetkin to knock him out brutally.

Povetkin could have lost to Price last time out AJ in under 6 rounds.

The danger to AJ is real, so this fight should sparkle huge interest. Lots of people will be watching it with big interest.
I don't see Povetkin winning, though. Joshua will fight very conservatively and should win by decision or maybe even by a late round stoppage (depending on how good/bad current Povetkin is).

I agree Mad Max, Povetkin won't be a walk in the park for AJ. I think unlike Parker, Povetkin will go for the KO.

I had the same sort of thought when Wilder fought Ortiz.. "Jeez facing a 98 year old man for a title defence".

That turned out to be a very competitive fight.

This will be the classical big man versus ''little man'' matchup, though calling a man who is 6'2 short is a little weird for me.

it was competitive because wilder is a shyt champion.

and ortiz was meat as soon as he gassed, he wasnt ever going to be matchfit for a 12 round battle, not at his age. soft option for wilder.

Let me say it like that: Povetkin has no fear, he would fight anyone everywhere, i respect that and i like his attitude but this won't be competitive. AJ will win a wide decision with 9-3/10-2/11-1/12-0 rounds and also has a good chance to stop Povetkin. Povetkin is past his prime, he looked really average in his last three fights (Rudenko, Hammer, Price) and is definitely slowing down rapidly and massively. He has a punchers chance, of course, but his power isn't the same as a couple of years ago.

A lot of this fight depends on VADA

I expect Joshua to enforce VADA for this based on Povetkins history, if VADA is enforced then I expect Joshua to blow Povetkin out.

If no VADA then something suspicious going on

Big Russian has slowed down badly IMO
He will look for an early KO on AJ and press the action but run out of gas mid rounds.
If AJ survives the first few rounds then I see a breakdown round after round from AJ to a wide UD or late stoppage
Povetkin will come in looking to slaughter AJ so the first few rounds will be dynamite

Wish Povetkin was few years younger, still hope he knocks Joshua out!

38 is a weakazz defence, calculated to know the guy can be outtanked if he cant be outboxed - see wilder/ortiz.
