How can you explain the fact that Takam smiled at Joshuas punches and Joshua needed a British stoppage to win the fight, while Povetkin KTFO'd a better version of Takam?

I'm sorry, but size > stamina in boxing. Ergo, weight divisions exist and not stamina divisions.

One could argue that at this point, even Oleksandr Usyk would fare better against Joshua than Povetkin. At least with Usyk, you'd get the feeling that the mouse (Usyk) will try to hit and run and outpoint the T-Rex (Joshua) = better chance of winning. Whereas with Povetkin, all he is going to do is charge head on and collide with someone who is nearly a different creature altogether in Joshua. Sort of like a mouse colliding head on with a T-Rex. There exists only one inevitable outcome in such a scenario. The mouse gets squashed within seconds like a grape getting squashed by a person's finger.

This is not a real fight but a comedic circus event.

You might argue that a 240+ pound Vitali Klitschko with a stamina advantage would beat Anthony Joshua. Why? Because both are the same size.

But Povetkin with a stamina advantage against a much bigger behemoth like Joshua stands as much chance of winning as a little mice against a T-Rex. No amount of stamina will enable Lomachenko or Pacquiao to beat Joshua, unless they become as big as Joshua first.

Hammer has stamina problems. Which is why his output was low. But when he did decide to actually trade, he literally laughed off all of Povetkin's punches without even blinking, almost to the point where he made it seem like Povetkin has the punching power of a 10 year old little sissy girl. That's how powerless Povetkin looked and is going to be against Joshua. He poses pretty much 0 knockout threat or risk to Joshua. Joshua is going to walk through Povetkin's punches like a 30 year old adult male would to his 5 year old son's feather fisted slap like punches.

You can't go from being unable to even hurt or even get the respect / attention out of someone like Christian Hammer after landing your best punches, to knocking out someone like Anthony Joshua who is astronomically superior. Totally impossible!

Anything other than Joshua pretty much squashing Povetkin like a bug, is a fantasy story in this horror like mismatch.

Takam took a dive against Povetkin. Joshua at least dropped Takam. Why couldn't Povetkin even drop Hammer? Oh that's right! Because he is a feather fist at heart.

no, punching power is not about bodybuilding.

bodybuilding is not about physical strength, although theres some correlation.

How come you dont know these things?

    Worst dive in history.

That was Povetkin's left hook, the same one that sent Price to hospital.

Joshua could win this inside 3...minutes. Povetkin post pissing hot is a shadow of a the fighter who was KOing ranked fighters. He got rocked by David Price LOL. I expect Joshua to carry it into 5/6 until Povetkin is breathing out his ass and tries a hopeless lunging left hook for the 50th time only to swing into air for the 49th time. This is such a mismatch that if Joshua loses it will be one of the most embarrassing title losses in history. Povetkin has no advantages over Joshua...he even has worse stamina than turtle gut Joshua

Povetkins age is irrelevant, he's the mandatory. The fight was demanded by the WBA.

Does anybody ever actually watch the fights anymore?

If Takam could do that well vs Joshua, Povetkin is in with a decent chance of the win.

age is always relevant to sport.
