    This coming from a lad who had Lucas Browne as his avatar? :lol:. AJ vs Haye would have been a huge fight, you were looking at the 2 highest grossing heavyweights at the time, fandom had nothing to do with it, my post was about marketability. Haye got old, like Ortiz, and as much as I like Povetkin, he just aint moving like he used too, and will be at very long odds in this one at his age. Good luck to him.

    Well Hearn talked up Wilder as well so its only fair.

    Its Hearns job to make Wilder vs AJ sound like a great fight just as it is his job to make Sasha vs AJ sound good.

    Thats how you build up a fight dingaling.

    NO NO NO he needs to stop doing all this stuff to make money then give Wilder lots of money so they fight..

    He need to stop ducking Wilder so Wilder can make money.....

    Hearn is an evil lair who say lies all the time and those silly British keep giving him money because of those lies and it make me really angry so I have to make angry rants all day long proving that I'm right!!!

    It's another pointless fight that I won't be tuning into watch.

    However at least Wilder tried to make the super fight between him and AJ happen.

    Hearn mostly talked down about Wilder, with a hint of prejudice towards him and his background.

    There's no problem giving Povetkin credit as an opponent, but to give him new attributes and paint him as some monster, whilst disguising his deficiencies as gifts is really taking the general public for dummies to another level.

    Bull ****!!! Povetkin is gonna pull a Corrie Sanders on Joshua!! Joshua didn't want this fight, he's not taking Povetkin seriously, just like you aren't taking him seriously. this is a huge mistake, and Joshua is gonna pay for it!! Povetkin doesn't lay down and die for anyone! he's gotten 10x better since his points loss to mr. grab and jab klitschko.

    Believe me there is no one more than that would like to see Povetkin make that boy's body turn stiff but I'm not in the game of cheerleading for I am a realist.

    The only way of Povetkin would definitely win is is if President Putin gets involved, and enrolls Alex on a special military treatment program to inject him with elite special super soldier medicine that will transform his weak and fragile old bones into titanium steel before carefulling inducing him into a trance state in order to kill any and all sensory perception of pain as he prepares to laces his gloves with cement and the nerve gas novichok.

    Considering all of that is unlikely to happen, Alex has next to no chance.

    :drooling: This "Povetkin has no chance" narrative is the most stupid idea that I've seen on these forums in a while.

    Takam gave AJ all sorts of problems with his head movement and took rounds off of him. Povetkin beat the dog**** out of Takam in a real furball fight that was 2x the pace that Takam and AJ fought at. Price managed to knock AJ the spark out in sparring. He managed to stagger Pov only prior to being sent to the emergency room.

    While I favour AJ because of his size and youth primarily, this fight is nowhere near being a done deal. Povetkin is far more skilled than Joshua and he WILL land. He has a vicious overhand right that he likes clubbing the tall guys with and a nasty uppercut that he drills folks inside with. His left hook may be the best since Tommy Morrison's. It's a lethal punch that just flattens people.

    Yes, he's slower than he was.

    He's still faster than AJ who is never going to win awards for speed.

    Yes, he's older than he was.

    His gas tank is still better than AJ's who starts to blow hard by round 4.

    Povetkin has every chance of winning.

    Another poster, I think his name is Staminakills summed up this fight in a nutshell beautifully.

    It's basically a 12 year old rabbit on it's last legs, smeared all over with baited blood, hoping to beat a T-Rex that has been pumped full of roids and gone a several days without food. Meanwhile even if the rabbit somehow manages to find a way to nibble on the T-Rex's legs, there are human poachers on the sidelines with rifles ready and willing to shoot the bunny down.

    No matter how much I love that rabbit and no matter how much I will and hope that rabbit, will find a way to take down that T-Rex, reality will have it that the rabbit will be torn to shreds in quick fashion.

    People said before the Takam and Parker fights they would be quick, easy KO's and yet Takam took him 10 rounds and Parker took him the distance. People are either overrating Joshua or under rating Povetkin or both. Don't think Povetkin wins, only has a punchers chance but he still has the best chance of beating Joshua since Wlad.
