Walcott wasn't modern day super heavy, so how would he do vs the following:
    Roy Jones, Jr
    Billy Conn
    Michael Spinks
    and
    Dwight Qawi

I know he holds 2 wins over one of the ATG light heavies in Ezzard Charles and a lesser known win over Harold Johnson. But you have the variation in styles, etc.

On Jerseys best day I see him potentially beating em all .Some give him harder fight s than other s .
But if Walcott s in one of his off fight s then
Dwight could give him hell ,pushing at him and having Jersey on the retreat .Walcott v conn ,maybe a little lack lustre in part and Conn getting a decision.
Spinks and Jersey ,two crafty guys each with own style ,Spinks gets a decision with his herky jerky moves giving Joe fit's. But like Wise Walcott make's work for him.
Jones ,not sure he took his power to Heavyweight ,Maybe scores a kd of two against him ,perhaps even gets the ko win .But on his best day Joe could easily slot one in against Roy ,as he did Ezz.

Walcott at his best goes undefeated in my opinion but Spinks gives him a very difficult fight.

I think Spinks and Conn could beat JJW not saying they would but they have the potential to imo.Jones and Qawi ,I see getting stopped.

The only thing about Spinks is I think Walcott would be too strong as I can see Walcott being similar to Holmes in physical strength, but this version of Walcott may be better than the version of Holmes Spinks fought and I think Walcott hit harder. But Spinks does have a decent chance. Conn with his more mobile style could nullify the Walcott strength advantage.

Joey Maxim beat Walcott apart from a good chin and a jab what did he have?

I would favor JJ W but at the same time apart from Roy Jones I think the rest are all capable of beating him

Walcott could crack. If he nailed Jones with the counter right he dropped Louis with or the left hook he dropped Marciano/starched Charles with, we'd all be having flashbacks of Antonio Tarver.

I agree ,Jerseys quick, come from no where shots, could do real damage

JJW beats them all, but a few would make it a real good fight.

AP scored the fight 6-3-1 for Walcott

No doubt Maxim had a difficult style for Walcott. Like Norton with Ali. Maxim wasn’t a bad fighter. He beat a lot of really good men. Walcott beat him twice in the rematch.

He was a better fighter my point is Joe was not the most consistant of fighters and was perfectly capable of dropping a dec here and there.

Absolutely, he had an awful night vs Rex Layne

And Johnny Allen in 1945? What the hell was that
