But Calzaghe moved up and dared to be great against the number 1 at 175.

    Froch fought Rybacki.....case closed kid.

i see you still flogging your failed case. mate, most people would have dropped the rybacki argument once they found it was flawed, not you though!

froch had joe lined up who marginally beat old hopkins.

    joe had old hopkins.

froch had the tougher opponent, its not his fault that opponent dropped out. its the fault of........ joe calzaghe! the guy you are trying to defend! hahahaha.

and to top it all.... froch beat the other primer hopkins conquerer , taylor, too.

hhaha double fail, odour mate, you are a great pal for letting me take double points over you.

I think this is very fair and right in line with my thinking. Carl took the career risks Joe never would. As a result, he took a couple of hard losses. I respect a guy who does that more.

But in the ring, Joe's footwork, speed, and work rate likely combine for a decision win; arguably the best of Joe's career, no worse than second best.

In Kessler’s own words after the fight ‘no the hand was ok’

I do remember Kessler sending Darren Barker back home after a rib or hip injury sparring in prep for Jc

Carl Froch has the better resume and better standing in my eyes.

    Joe Calslappy is vastly over-rated.

aye hes ignoring that the opponent rybacki replaced was joe cal, and running away in fear undestandably from what I wrote.

so if hes claimin that joe cal was a weaker choice than old Hopkins, let him, np - hes realised he killed his own argument but wont come back to admit it.

after which Kessler had immediate postponed hand surgery.

still, injured kess in Cardiff is still a good win for joe, don't knock it.

Just a shame the fight never happened. I always thought calzaghe would have won. Nobody on frochs record that calzaghe wouldn't have dealt with. Ward and calzaghe would have been a good fight. Froch lost to Kessler after calzaghe beat him its hard to look past that.

So you didnt watch all of Calzaghes career?
Its difficult to comment when you were not watching so I ask this
What were these wins of Froch that you think were more testing than Calzaghes? Who did Froch beat as good as Hopkins when Calzaghe beat him? Who did Froch beat as good as prime undefeated Kessler when Calzaghe beat him?
Calzaghes resume is a long way ahead

    You are missing the point.

Apparently JC "ducked" Froch but he moved up a division to face a P4P top 3 guy who was the number 1 in the division.....and Froch went on to face Rybacki......you see my point now?

    Froch didnt fight Degale either.
froch was at the end of his career and didnt take that fight. Calzaghe was beating undefeated unified champ Kessler when Froch was still British champ and then fought a tougher opponent in Hopkins after.
Calzaghe had beaten the top SMW rival, moved up in weight, had 2 fights at LHW and retired before Froch had won a SMW title
