He'd arguably be higher than Vitali.

If he beat Wilder and Fury then he surpasses Wlad.

Klitschko was only a year older than Povetkin will be on fight night and had less wear and tear.

Maybe I should've said age and inactivity.

    What part?

Who's vitalis best win? Sam Peter?

Wlads best are Haye and Povetkin

    Wlad-Parker-whyte-povetkin-takam-parker-fury-wilder

It's not "hilarious" to say that resume might be better than wlads

No evidence that Wilder was ever as good as prime David Haye.

No evidence that an old, washed up Takam, and a Parker who arguably lost to that old washed up Takam and fat, out of shape Andy Ruiz Jr are any better than the likes of Sultan Ibragimov, Ruslan Chagaev and etc.

Tyson Fury hasn't proven anything yet, apart from one big win against a 39 year old Wladimir Klitshcko on his last legs.

Wladimir Klitschko has already defeated a better, prime version of Povetkin whilst Joshua is fighting a totally washed up and shot version of Povetkin at age 39. Thus, Wlad's win over Povetkin > Joshua's win over Povetkin (I know the fight's not over yet, but the result is in 0 doubt to me as Joshua is 100% definitely going to beat Povetkin).

And Povetkin is better than Whyte. Thus, Wlad's win over Povetkin > Joshua's win over Whyte as well.

As already stated many times, Joshua has to literally dominate the heavyweight division for at least a decade whilst remaining the undisputed number 1 heavyweight in the world for that time period, before he even qualifies as someone who can be compared to Wladimir Klitschko as far as ATG rankings are concerned.

Few decent wins won't be sufficient enough!

Especially since OLD Povetkin is arguably the #2 boxer in the world right now. The HW scene is down the crapper.

Parker is a better win/opponent than Sultan Ibragmov. Want evidence?

Parker is top 5. Sultan was top 10.

Wins over prime undefeated Hughie Fury and Any Ruiz are better than wins over 50 year old versions of Holyfield and Briggs. Holyfield wasn't even ranked and had no business at all in the ring , never mind fighting for a title.
It just shows you how the K2 era was the lowest talent pool in HW history since Evander could hand around till he was almost 50 and still get title shots.

Futhermore , Sultan couldn't even beat bummy Harold Scoiners victim - Ray Austin. Parker has no such blemish on his resume and if he beat top 10 ranked Whyte next he ranks higher above Sultan than he already is.
No debate here whatsoever. Next -

The Vetin Wladimir fought was fresh of his pasting to Marco Hock who had came up straight up from Cruiser weight..

Joshua faces a much more rejuvenated , reconstituted and reinvigorated Povetkin who is coming off a more impressive win streak against current HW Champ Vinny Charr on top of Takam , Perez , Duhaplass , Wach , Redenko , Hammer and Price.

Thats a better run from Povetkin than getting batted around by Huck then taking two non-fights against Hasim Rahman's ghost and Andy Warsick , therefore the Povetkin Joshua is about to face >>> the Povetkin that fought Wlad.

    Nah

Wlad has longevity but split the weak division with his brother.

That run i just mentioned puts AJ over.

I will admit the povetkin win wint carry much weight as hes just a short fat old dude but theres loads of other good wins there.

This current division is just as weak. Ignoring all the hype and trash talk, nothing stands out in this current division.

Your opinion about Wlad's era being weak, is just that, an opinion. And as well all know, everyone has an opinion and they mean nothing.

Being dominant and being the number 1 heavyweight in the world for a specific amount of time, isn't an opinion but an objectively measurable fact. So unless Joshua surpasses Wlad's time in terms of being dominant, he will always OBJECTIVELY rank below Wlad. Simple as that!

The run you mentioned, has as much value at BEST, to the run that I mentioned Wlad had during his era.

And Vitali was never that good to begin with. Kubrat Pulev is arguably better than Vitali Klitschko, along with some other opponents of Wladimir Klitschko. There wasn't any split. Wlad was indisputably the better heavyweight.

    No.

Has he done more after 21 fights than the Klitsckos? Yeah

So he is on his way to being regarded better but there isn't a long long way to go.
