Can you think of any fighters, who started out ready and willing to fight anyone, and later as their career progressed started to play chess and map out their careers so that they would be taking the path of least resistance.

Amir Khan comes to mind, even though he was a chinny rodent, and sold to the public after winning an Olympic silver medal, as the best thing since naan bread, he was one who's heart and desire to fight anyone could not be questioned.

He even moved to the states after the prescott lost looking to reinvent himself and learn which was commendable. He hired the legendary ATG Roach as both coach and mentor which lead to him taking risks against the likes of Maidana, Prime Pauli and nosed dived into a fight with Garcia.

After Garcia permanently scarred him, he was always looking for the one big pay fight with either Manny Or Floyd and no longer wished to earn his shots through the rankings.

He dodged so many competitive fights through his obsession with Floyd that he become a parody of himself.

Andre Ward took on so many great names at the start of his career all in one go at the super six. We had thought after he went through Abraham, Bika, Kessler and Froch, we were going to see a true Lion rise who would take on all corners without fuss.

After he established himself, he lived off the victories for the rest of his career and we were treated to fights against the likes of Ward vs Cloud, Rodriguez, Brand, Paul Smith,Dawson once every 3-5 years. Obviously many boxing fans seem to believe his last big send off fights against Kovalev - the rematch only happened due to SK threatening to take legal action - justifies the inactivity and soft diva approach to negotiations he took on,whislt along the way, leading a good family man who made Ward's career, to his death through his greed.

Keith Thurman is another who started brave, brash and strong with Samson styled braids looking to challenge, slowly turned into a pony tail excuse maker who can longer find the courage to get in the ring with anyone because of a minor car accident he was involved in years ago.

Keith only needs to look at Jeff Horn for inspiration on how to keep fighting on despite being involved in accidents or injuries.

Tyson Fury use to be fearless to the point that whenever he predicted or said he was going to do something, you'd believe him without a shred of doubt.

It was all going well until he shirked out of the rematch with Wladimir Klitschko, getting his Uncle to lie and tell everyone he couldn't make appearances because his car had a broken battery, like a ick note making excuses to get out of turning up to work.

After taking 3 years off and claiming to want to mimic a comeback similar to Ali , he decides to become hell bent on replicating David Haye's return by embarking on a crusade to slay all the beggars of Albania

Lastly before my post becomes too long, there is none other than Anthony Joshua who started out blistering well - slowly working his way towards fighting higher quality opposition from Kevin Johnson, to Dillian Whyte to finally Wladimir Klitschko. It seemed this man wasn't afraid of anyone and genuinely wanted a legacy that would have made the likes of Lewis and Mike Tyson.

After experiencing a scare against Wlad, he now only fights threats on conditions whereby every single fight has to be on home soil otherwise he doesn't ''feel safe''. Has his master pay step aside money to fighters and sanctioning bodies, so he doesn't have to fight mandatories who are threats whislt listening to snakes whispering poison in his ears, telling him that rejecting 50 million is a wise a move

    Wilder does not qualify.

    He turned soft EARLY.

There was no freaking later about it.

Admittedly Wilder started off Soft, but now is a roaring Lion who is devouring all in his path from fighters to promoters.

Any man who slaps 50 million down on the table, after another fighter foolishly attempts to pull an unrealistic figure out of thin air,, believing the other party can not and will not match it, can never be called soft.

Wilder through that one move alone, check mated Eddie, Barry, Hearn, Matchroom ,Sky and Joshua and his family of leeches.

Oh spare us the sob story.

Fury was telling the world, that he could come straight back and beat the likes of Joshua with one hand tied behind his back.

With that kind of fighting talk, you'd at least expect him to fight a respectable ranked opponent who people had heard of.

Instead he went into the bottom of the filthiest barrel he could find and dug out the world's most obscure bum who he buttered up and ensured wouldn't fight back.

Would you say Hearn could become the GOAT? He is definitely the top of my p4p list. He's defeated Joshua, also Wilder and Fury are ducking trying to avoid the inevitable beatdown Hearn will put on them.

Do not bring your silly trolling in here. You're not even funny as you do not possess any wit to carry it off.

You're just saying that because the joke is on you, trust me its funny.

You guys talk like Hearn is the boogieman, you lost reality on the issue long ago.

And dont go around claiming you are the funny police, you dont own humour, humour own you, now bow down and kneel before Hearn.

Khan has been ducking and picking and choosing ( and still losing) since he turned pro so I don't have a clue what the OP is saying! Even at domestic level he ducked Thaxton. Murray and Romanov. 'Prime Paulie' lol! The most feather fisted fighter ever! aint nobody ever has ever ducked Paulie Malignaggi! Khan was in the most weakest division in boxing -140.

You're in the wrong thread sonny.

This isn't about Hearn, and no one think's he's the bogeyman, just a disgusting morally bankrupt individual who will say and do anything to earn a buck.

Well i guess AJ was stupid to sign with him, who would you have suggested instead?

Wilder would of faced AJ for 15mill if he really wanted that fight, as soon as he beats AJ then Wilder is in control of the lions share thereafter, which is what i would want if i was confident i could beat AJ, personally i think Wilder does have a shot to win but not if he dont sign, sign it and fight!!!!

Why accept 15 million when the fight is worth more?

Should Manny Pacquiao have accepted 40 million for the floyd fight, which he turned down when the fight was worth 500 million?

Allow me to quote Lennox Lewis

AJ v Wilder the biggest fight in the HW division. They will BOTH make more than each ever has... because they BOTH bring a level of interest to match. It’s what fans want to see. Negotiations should reflect that! I would say 60-40 split in AJ favour at Wembley for first fight!

Not just ANY belt(green and gold WBC), THE CROWN JEWEL among belts. It deserves respect! There is no doubt AJ is the A-side... but u can’t just steamroll Wilder. This is the biggest fight that can be made for a reason... BOTH will bring extreme interest. two undeafeated champs for UNDISPUTED!

give respect to floyd for his skill. he took risks when he was young. but later, only took on fighters when they were just over the cusp of the careers. he even said so himself. "I don't fight for legacy. I don't fight for none of that, I fight for that check. I'm in the check cashing business."

"Everywhere I go, I will make a good payday. But we got to choose the right opponent and the right time and the right venue."
