Luis Ortiz says Wilder beats AJ!!!

It's like asking Tony Bellew who is going to win. He threw in his lot with Haymon and he's already had a reward by being reinserted into the WBC mandatory conversation months after his wilder loss.

 

He never fought Joshua and so he can't really compare them and of course a fighter will say the guy that beat them is better than anyone else, ego can get in the way from seeing the truth.

As for Ortiz, he had his chance to fight Joshua, he refused to sign with Hearn and signed with Haymon and was negotiating a fight with Wilder even before he was named mandatory. Had he signed with Hearn he would now likely be fighting Joshua instead of Povetkin.

But Ortiz chose to go and fight Wilder instead, and didn't back up his words and take Joshua to court to enforce his mandatory like he said he would. If he had really wanted the Joshua fight he would of taken him to court or signed with Hearn or waited until his shot came.

 

Ortiz has seen champions come and go for the last 40 years and sparred with the most of them. He knows what he's talking about.

 

As #1 Self-Identified Wilder fan, we don't need Luis Ortiz testimony for this one. Any boxer who got KTFO by someone will say that, psychological coping.

Ortiz's superior timing and experience is what was giving Wilder a lot of trouble, but due to age he couldn't sustain it in the later rounds and got cut down by Wilder when he gassed.

Stiverne in the first fight was also able to keep Wilder from stepping into his punches due to Stiverne counter punching, which is why he took Wilder the distance.

 

How hilarious if they stall AJ-Wilder till 2020 then it's a boring decision like the Parker fight lol!!!! Always those fights were two big punchers=decision. I doubt it but ya just never know.

 

Man he did sign with Hearn and Hearn kept him away from Joshua. Hearn used his WBA lifeline and made sure they got him off the rabkings.

 

Is that the same timing and experience that saw Wilder being out boxed for extended periods against Molina, Spzilka, Washington and getting his face busted up by Duhaupas?

Until Wilder gets bailed out of course by his admittedly good right hand, nevertheless he seems have trouble with a number of fairly mediocre boxers. Go back and watch Ortiz against Scott and sub British level Dave Allen... he is not very good either

Nope they fought on a fight by fight basis, he never signed with Hearn. I mean who's ever heard of a 5 month contract? Even if he had signed with Hearn which he didn't he probably would of tried to get out of it to avoid fighting Joshua like he did with Goldenboy to avoid fighting Ustinov.

Ortiz left his previous promoter Greg Cohen who was suing him for breach of contract, to sign with Goldenboy in 2016. They made him try and fight an eliminator with Ustinov, which he pulled out of twice and then literally a few months after signing with Goldenboy paid them a $1 million to get out of that contract and then went to fight for Hearn on a fight to fight basis only for him to refuse to sign with Hearn and then sign with Haymon in March 2017.
