Exactly. Great performance from Usyk but he needs to stay at CW he'll get hurt bad if he moves up.

So where is the example of Joshua's concussive knockout as brutal as Gassiev's over Shimmell? I'm still waiting!

Joshua took forever to TKO a weak chin Wladimir Klitschko in 11 rounds. So what you on about, mentioning Dorticos here, a guy previously never stopped before?

Joshua couldn't even drop Denis Bakhtov in 2 rounds and needed a standing premature stoppage. The same Bakhtov was dropped thrice in just 1 round by a guy smaller than Gassiev in Evgeny Romanov, who is only 6 foot 0 in height.

Joshua couldn't even cleanly KO a washed up, 38 year old Carlos Takam. The same Takam who was brutally KO'ed by Povetkin, who is Gassiev's size and probably has less power.

Dorticos was never KO'ed before. Neither was Denis Lebedev (officially).

I see it differently. I reckon if Joshua constantly tries to bulldoze him, Usyk will simply avoid and counter. It’s Joshua’s cautious style, like against Parker, that will cause the problems.

Joshua was basically content to use his height and reach advantage, and jab his way to victory, knowing that if Parker over committed he’d have him.

Usyk is the vastly superior boxer, but there’s no denying that Joshua could fight him at length.

Usyk would Box well in the early rounds and might even land a few times but he doesn’t have anywhere close to enough power to trouble Joshua.

On the other hand Usyk inability to hurt AJ would mean he was under all out assault from Joshua. While Usyk might catch shots from CWs on his arms and gloves, Joshua’s punches even if not cleanly landed would travel right through his guard and wear him down.

Finally, Usyk would put weight on to go up to the Heavys and that would slow him down and affect his stamina.

It’s only a contest for as long as Usyk can avoid Joshua shots but he’d be on his bike and constantly moving away, only a matter of time before he gets concussed

Interesting take. I do realize that Joshua's length poses problems, but as a Parker fan, he did win quite a few rounds there despite the length / reach disadvantage. And Usyk is much better than Parker, and about the same length / reach.

Usyk couldn't carry Herbie Hide's jockstrap. Lol I'd put good money on Joe Joyce avenging his defeat. These cruiserweights can't compete against the bigboys!

I reckon Parker also posed a threat in terms of power. I don’t see that with Usyk.

It’s an interesting matchup, but one where we see how size really can make the difference.

Usyk would fight smarter and have less volume, just counter punch and move enough to win the rounds. Timing and speed beats power 9/10 in boxing.

Anthony Joshua is defeated mentally, he might take Usyk to duck Wilder power. In fear of Wilder punching power he might under estimate Usyk boxing skills.

    Usyk win scenario...(most likely)
Usyk stops a an exhausted & confused Anthony Joshua last 4 rounds

You're right about timing and speed. Joshua has infinitely better timing and has shown he's a very effective counter puncher. Usyk looks quick ish throwing arm punches but Joshua will punch holes through him fighting like that.

Usyks problem is he has zero power to grain respect from the giants, that technique might work on the amateur ranks, but not in pro boxing.

yes if he sticks to a stick and move, side side like he did, then he can outpoint him.

Trouble is avoiding the temptation to mix it with HULK SMASH.

I keep sayin this Usyk is not big enough for Joshua and Wilder he’s got the skills but those are some big guys 6’7 I mean look at Eddie Hearn when he stands next to Joshua and Hearn is a pretty tall mofo

The fight goes 12 rounds whatever way you look at it.

And who do you think is going to be one outboxing their opponent?

Let’s get one thing straight: we will never see this fight because of that ***** Hearn. He’d put so many roadblocks in the way. Even if he holds a belt, we’d never see it.
