Usyk didnt beat Breidis. He won the fight, but that fight could just have easily been awarded to Breidis without complaint from anyone. Usyk still has unfinished business to see if hes the best fighter at cruiserweight today let alone an ATG lol.

Glowacki, Huck, Briedis, Gassiev. You could even though in Hunter and Mchunu. It has been a good run thus far, and he is only getting started.

I would not go this far, but he is off to a great start.

What does it even mean to be the best cruiser? Are guys like Marciano included? Frazier? Ali started at 190 pounds. Jou Louis?

 

He dominated Gassiev in his backyard - extremely impressive win. And Gassiev is a really dangerous fighter. He won a war with Breidis - another impressive win. He defeated the past prime but certified elite cruiser Huck with absolute ease. Not to mention a pair of decent wins in Glowacki and Hunter.
Usyk is the goods. Is he the best? Debatable I wouldn’t put him at top, yet. But cruiser is only 30 something years old it’s not a rich history division. And he collected all 4 belts at a time where the talent is really impressive.
Can’t take that away from the man.

 

its safe to say that 2Slyk is the best of his generation at CW, with the possible exception of perhaps Huck and Nelson but we will see how that pans out as his resume lengthens to theirs...only then can we tell.

AT present definite top three CW post Holyfield within 14 fights is remarkable. I wonder if he is related to Nomas.

Almost all boxfans are being serious putting Evan Fields at #1 after beating Qawi x2, DeLeon and Tillman at cruiser, becoming undisputed.
A lot of people are being serious putting Haye at #2 after beating Fraggo, Mormeck and Enzo, taking all but one belts.

Usyk must make it to #2 at least having Briedis, Glow, Gasman and Huck at his resume while becoming undisputed. [edit] And he broke 2 of Holy's records on his way towards it [/edit]
