Is AJ the most popular heavyweight of all time?

I’m in France and I was at a party of 15 people not really big more of a kick back I asked everyone there who AJ was they said they had no idea. But a few of them knew Wilder this is in Europe I’m a $40 plane ride from the UK. AJ isn’t popular outside of his country I don’t care what you guys are talking about

Yes, no lie I asked them cause they asked me about American football I had to show them a picture of AJ, they knew Wilder it really ****ing threw me off I was like wtf. The ***** I’ve been smashing out here even translated it multiple times they knew Conor Mcgregor and Ali. But when asked about AJ not a soul knew him and it was pretty diverse crowd dudes from Paris, Germany, And Africa. The sample size was obviously small but for not one person it was like wtf. Then I showed them interviews of him saying tell the fans to train and fight Wilder they started laughing and calling AJ a *****. I’m gonna head to Dublin and the UK next before I go back Los Angeles. We need these dudes to fight ASAP if they don’t fight it’ll be a major black eye for the sport

 

AJ is very popular in the UK and Nigeria obviously. I would have to say though that Lennox Lewis was more popular in Canada and Jamaica, Frank Bruno more popular in the UK and Ali and Tyson more popular world wide. Nevertheless AJ is very popular.

I don't see how he would have been vastly more popular than the likes of Frazier in all honesty.


He's the most known HW in the world since Lewis/Tyson.

His fights are being broadcast from the US, to Sub-Saharan Africa.



It's also a complete myth that he's 'unknown' in the US.

He is, at worst and debatably, the 2nd most popular active HW in the US........
But is without a doubt the most popular in every other nation on the planet.

I mean what a ducker that Brit guy is, signing contracts and booking venues and waiting for Wilder to sign the contract that he has already agreed to. Pure excuses or what? I don't know about most popular, but his rise is maybe the most extraordinary ever seen.

The guy only laced up his gloves for the first time just 10 years ago, when he was 18, and since then he's accumulated an Olympic Gold medal, holds 3 of the 4 heavyweight titles, beating all comers everywhere, and is already the biggest earner in the sport, and if all goes well will be for the next decade.

You're always gonna attract haters no matter what you do, people will nitpick, make accusations or say "well he hasn't done this or he hasn't done that" but love him or hate him, one thing you can not deny, for someone who took up the sport so late, he has opened up a can of whoop ass on this noble art!
