Missung Huck, Glowacki, Mchunu.... All VERY solid guys. Why do people do this? His resume is available online for freebwhy miss out on some of his other big wins when making a thread about it.

Because if you put those names in the title too, then the thread immidiately falls flat. Can't have that of course.

I don't see it as particularly contentious having him above Holyfield at CW. Much of Evander's greatness (not ALL of it, of course) comes down to his work at HW.

A H2H fight between those two is salivating. As is Briedis-Gassiev. Yes please.

Nope, because he's unified a division in just 15 fights, winning all of his world titles in his opponent's backyards, winning all of his world title fights on the road, all bar one of which in his opponent's backyards, and he's beaten 4 undefeated fighters in their countries, 3 of whom were reigning world champions, and 4 current or former world champions, and not one of the officials for any of his world title fights has been Ukrainian and he won all his fights via clean boxing. This is totally unprecedented.

Glowacki (26-0) in Poland (WBO champ)
Mchunu (17-2) in the US (neutral soil)
    Hunter (12-0) in the US
Huck (40-4-1) in Germany (former long reigning WBO champ)
Briedis (23-0) in Latvia (WBC champ)
Gassiev (26-0) in Russia (unified WBA and IBF champ)

You should be a lawyer, you made an excellent case for Usyk. He is very special that is certain. Love watching these guys.

The judges were slightly home cooked, and no one with eyes gave him seven rounds. 4 is generous.

Holyfield and Jirov would beat him. Cunningham, Deleon and Gomez would give him a really tough go and a guy like Hide would truly be more trouble than he is worth.

    But I think he's probably #3 or #4.

I mean lets be real for a second; Holyfield fought for 3 1/2 years as a heavyweight, left the division at 25 because he wanted to fight Tyson, Bowe and Lewis, and he did. The first three heavyweights he fought were two ex-world champs, and a guy who fought Tyson to a standstill, Tillis, Thomas and Dokes.

Usyk started at 26, is now 31 and will probably be 32 before he fights again, and after is greatest moment of victory he calls out...

    Tony Bellew?

    It is what it is.

Yes herzbg, a lot of people are going overboard with his greatness. Dare I say it, Usyk is Euro level. He beat good fighters but they were mostly European - the Gassievs, Hucks, Glowackis, Briedisesses, etc. People already have him KO'ing Wilder and outboxing other heavyweights like Fury and Joshua. Let's see him in with a few legit top 10 Heavy and then talk about greatness. :lunchacos:

Qawi was more accomplished than anyone Usyk had faced, and was probably a better fighter in general than anyone save maybe Bredis. Ocasio was a tricky, if inconsistent spoiler who had a knack for upsetting guys who were a lot more talented than he was. De Leon was a multi-time CW titlist who could be a pain in the ass to fight once he got into a groove.

That said, Usyk's CW resume to date is probably deeper from top to bottom.

I dunno...It's close btx the two of them.

Enters a tournament with the best in his division.

Wins it in the opponents country.

Gets called out by Bellow to fight him.

He accepts the fight as he knows there will be money in it.

Some people just love to hate.

I said I was trolling lol. I have no clue how that fight would play out. The only Holyfield fights I've seen are against Bowe and Tyson. Never seen the guy at cruiser.
