Patterson did a pretty good job when he was getting older in the so called 'golden' era and generally gave a very good account of himself on world level minus the two Liston fights. Holyfield obviously doesn't boast the same kind of punching power that Liston did, but he does bring some very unique qualities to the table, elite stamina and work rate, very good punching technique, superb recovery powers and a granite chin. He loved a tear up and he wouldn't have to go looking for Floyd so I'm going to take Holyfield by stoppage or a close decision.

Sadly Floyd came around when the heavyweight division was transitioning and was kind of caught in the middle of post Marciano and pre Ali which leads him to get a little underrated in h2h match ups because his opposition in his prime was very questionable

I honestly think that Floyd is too weak to hurt Holyfield, Holyfield was a warrior that would take the toughest of blows even by opponents who were 30-40 lbs heavier than him like Riddick Bowe

Patterson wins. It's a tough fight and one in which Patterson may take a flash knockdown, but he would gather himself and Holyfield is bound to be rocked somewhere along the way. But Patterson wins the day.

I think his chin was good enough to take a cruiser Holyfield's punch.

At heavy, I think Holyfield stops Patterson. At cruiser, Patterson decisions him.

    It's at 200lbs
Closer to HW holy than cruiser Holy. Besides in his last cruiser fights holy was already alot stronger than he was in the first Qawi fight.
Holyfield of Qawi 1 might lose to Floyd
But not a Holyfield that can come in at 200

So is this fight at heavy or cruiser? Holy, to my knowledge, was at most ever 190 at cruiser.

Oh I thought at 200 meant cruiser, like at 175 would mean LHW. Well the best I can say is if the fight took place at cruiser weight, I'd pick Patterson to win a decision, if it takes place at heavyweight, then Holyfield TKO

    That's a reasonable opinion.

Holyfield. Patterson could dish it out but couldn't take it so well; Holyfield could take it and dish it out.

Holyfield's all-round toughness and warrior spirit would be the difference. Holyfield by TKO late.
