Floyd was so shot , old , decrepit and worn out he needed iv treatment just to have enough energy to walk into the ring. There's enough footage out there that shows his hands were shattered beyond repair as well.
Even that version of Floyd who was falling apart at the seams was good enough to beat healthy , fit , strong and prime Manny Pacquaio.

Those two counters were the most intense, action-packed, and critical sequences of the fight — and resulted in Pac landing numerous flush shots to the head and body. Yeah, that's how much the fight sucked and how little happened during it — but name me a fight where Floyd was badly countered and retreated to the ropes to recover (great poker face by Floyd)?

Prime Pac would have countered Floyd even worse and his follow up wouldn't have been impaired by age and a bum shoulder.

 

Mayweather probably still wins, but it's a more exciting fight. Meanwhile, Mayweather's beating down 50 Cent on Instagram.

 

Mayweather not being able to sit in the pocket pick apart Pacquiao like Marquez did plants a major seed of doubt of if Mayweather would have been able to handle the Pacquiao Marquez faced in fights 2 or even 3.

Watching Mayweather constantly having to lock up Pacquiao in clinches really has me thinking if he could actually be able to outbox Pacquiao in a contest where the refereeing was legit and points would be taken off for excessive holding.

A few clinches here and there is fine, but the clinching and holding Mayweather did vs Pacquiao was just plain excessive.
