    God Bless Bert. He was a Character and he stayed in that Character full time.

    But that Character didn't know sh*t about boxing.

    A pretty entertaining watch. He was a good speaker, that's one thing you have to give him.

    I might have to steal his line about having to stop someone snoring because it kept waking him up.

    Bert Sugar was not a boxing guy, he was a character like the George Burns of boxing. I met him and liked him a lot and he was nice to me. I was just some idiot who wanted a picture with him and he joked and treated me well, but his knowledge was more surface and he took the general opinion and went with it to not upset anyone and to be right since if you pick the favorite each time, you will be right most of the time.

    Informed and balanced views are not particularly quotable.

    Bert was great at what he did, but it's best to focus on the entertainment value of what he brought rather than the credibility.
