Only wants to defend his HW title vs Lesnar or defend LHW title against Corey Anderson. What a joke. He knows Gus has too much for him at this stage of his career.

He also tried calling out a shot Shogun just before he was fed to Anthony Smith. Pathetic..... Did you see the open letter to Gustafsson? If that's not a flat out duck idk what is.

Yeah the holier-than-thou act is pathetically transparent, "I won't fight you because you withdrew from your fight after your opponent pulled out ", as if he's never been fine with facing opponents who've pulled out of fights or even guys that have failed drug tests in the past. It's obvious at this point that he just wants an easy cash out fight.

There isn't anyone else worthy at LHW. Cormier doesn't want to fight him because it's a tough fight and he only wants easy fights and big money cashouts like Lesnar.

Anyone with any sense ducks Gustaf. DC already admitted that Gus was the “Last person” u want to see looking at u from across the cage.

Lesnar gets clipped/turtles and loses by stoppage by rd 2. Got almost zero ground defense, if DC takes it there.
This fight is a waste of our time.

40+ years old man. He's earned the right, as many in the boxing forum say, to pick and choose the fights he wants. He beat every 205 pound contender he came up against outside of Jones, and he beat every heavyweight he came up against. He even turned the longest reigning UFC heavyweight champ's chin to plastic, leaving thousands of racists arse hurt, still weeks later. He already beat Gustofferson. And beat twice, the guy that made Gustofferson his *****. So how is that a duck? Cormier can do what he wants, he's earned that right.

He called out Shogun and Anderson and doesn't want to face Gustafsson because it's a tough fight. It's a duck. If he doesn't want the fight he should just vacate and focus on HW. As a fan why would you want to see anything other than Gustafsson at LHW? Are you his wife? Get off his nuts.

Gustafsson is the n.1 contender in one of the divisions that he is champion. HW is a total mess right now without a clear n.1 contender and the UFC has all but ruled out a Stipe rematch. Gus is the logical fight to make. Why would you rather see a pathetic Lesnar freak show than a highly skilled, entertaining, probable FOTY candidate? If he wants the easy cashout, fine, just drop the LHW title instead of writing up some dumb letter justifying a blatant duck that holds up an already stagnant division.

He already beat Gustofferson, and beat the man who made Gustofferson cry, twice. At this point, he can fight who the **** he wants. I'd rather see him face someone new, either way. I'm not on his nuts, I'm not even a big Cormier guy. I just find the hypocrisy laughable. Hopefully you aren't one of the ones perturbed that Miocic got KO'd.

I'm playing Devi's Advocate here, because out of the lot of you, a few have argue'd in the boxing chat that boxers like Miguel Cotto earned the right to fight who they wanted at the end of their careers. I'm simply giving Cormier the same right. He should take whatever fights will earn him the most money. That would be Lesnar, a Jones rematch, or Miocic rematch. Regarding Miocic, how often has UFC given an immediate rematch when a guy is decisively beat down and KO'd in the first round? Cormier was playing basketball with his head at the end there. As I already stated, he beat Gustofferson already. I'd rather see him fight someone new. We've seen in the past that UFC isn't always giving the #1 ranked guy a title shot. That's just how it is. It might not be fair to Gustofferson fans, but let's be honest, he's lost every time he's stepped up to the top level, choked out by Phil Davis, decision'd by Jones, beaten down by Johnson, decision'd by Cormier. I'd rather see new blood get a shot. That's just me.

There's zero hypocrisy on my part. I simply want to see the best fight the best. Gustafsson gave Cormier the toughest fight of his career barring Jones. FACT. Johnson had 2 goes at Cormier and in neither did he perform as well as the Swede. Cormier/Gustafsson II is the best fight that can be made at LHW by a wide margin. FACT. Anything else is sub par. Stop it with the equivalences, what aboutisms and entitlement. The champion should fight the best.

The Davis loss is totally irrelevant. He came the closest out of anyone to beating Jones, turning his face into hamburger meat and sending him straight to intensive care on a stretcher. Cormier got dropped and almost stopped in a razor close war. Those fights were so draining and damaging that neither guy wanted that work ever again.

People that would rather see the unabashed cheating disgrace get an undeserved title shot in a non-competitive "fight" rather than a match with the clear cut n.1 LHW contender which is high competitive and possible FOTY I'd daresay aren't real fans of the sport.

The only thing that can save this DC/Lesnar debacle, is if during the post-fight WWE/shenanigans...

some noble soul takes advantage of the chaos and starches Buffer with a folding chair
